Trump spurns Nobel Prize winners—and the feeling is mutual
Considering that the Trump regime has censored scientists studying health effects of coal mining, removed vital scientific data from public sites, purged scientists from its scientific advisory boards, selected an anti-science nominee to head NASA, and that Republicans in Congress have joined them in blocking research into climate change, it’s not surprising that there would be a reluctance to welcome American scientists into the White House.

But then, several of those scientists weren’t exactly thrilled about the prospect of meeting such a science-hostile group in the first place.
tulc(wonders if President Trump doesn't like people with bigly IQ's?)

Maybe Trump thinks the opposite - he doesn't like people with low IQ's who believe in man-made global warming.
Well...it WOULD be awkward for President Trump to talk to people A) smarter then him, B) actually know what they're talking about C) can demonstrate just how out of his depth he is in this job and D) aren't afraid to tell him to his face how little he knows.

I doubt that Donald Trump is impressed or concerned about those who consider themselves to be intellectuals. He's doing a good job, despite all of the opposition.

I would guess it all depends on the definition of "good job" if tweeting, playing golf, and working to create tax cuts for himself and his 1%'er friends then yeah, I guess he's doing a "good job". :sorry:
tulc(wouldn't call that a "good job", but then he didn't vote for a D-level reality tv show host)

Tax cuts for the 1%ers are good for everyone. Who
employs most people in the USA? The rich. Who buys
the expensive items that have to be made by others?
The rich. Who else is going to buy a new jet or yacht
this year so the people making them don't get laid off?

All boats sales have been recovering from the 2008 crash but in 2016 that goal was finally achieved with 250,000 boats being sold and 1,156 of them were classified as yachts.
It doesn't look like the 1%ers need a tax break in order to be happily buying new yachts.
https://www.tradeonlytoday.com/by-the-numbers/boat-sales-topped-250000-in-2016

Wonder how many of those sales were to corporations, INCs and LLCs? They are a great tax write off if one chooses to, just like planes and luxury cars.

Corporate yachts aren't as numerous as corporate limousines. Fewer than 20 corporate vessels showed up in Washington state on a U.S. Coast Guard database. It was difficult to differentiate them among hundreds of boats owned by limited liability companies (which are, in fact, mostly owned by individuals).
Small and large companies use boat write-offs

Could be because this is a change from the last 20 years?
tulc(just a thought)

The President does not take an oath to abide by traditions.

Having a man sitting in the People's Office for 8 years whose parentS were not US citizens, especially required of Presidents, was a pretty startling CHANGE, of undermining the US Constitution, did that bother you?

Let's talk voodoo then.
How many lower or middle class people do you know that
own businesses and hire multiple employees, not family?
Maybe those on welfare? Look past the incomes and see
where the actual wealth resides. With people who don't
have incomes to tax.

Didn't say he did, the question was why this was news and the answer was because it's been a tradition for 20 years and then someone didn't follow that tradition. that made it news.

It might have, if we were electing someones parents to be President. But since we don't, no it wasn't a problem, no more then the fact that President Trumps mom wasn't born a US citizen is a problem for me now. Is that fact a problem for you? Been here:
Mary Anne MacLeod Trump - Wikipedia
[QUOTEMary Anne Trump (née Mary Anne MacLeod, Scottish Gaelic: Màiri Anna NicLeòid; May 10, 1912 – August 7, 2000) was the Scottish-born American mother of Donald Trump, the 45th and current President of the United States. Hailing from the Outer Hebrides, she emigrated from her native isle in 1930 and became a U.S. citizen in 1942.][/QUOTE]

It might have, if we were electing someones parents to be President. But since we don't, no it wasn't a problem,

Of course we don't elect Parents to be the President!
Of course it is a problem.
Who in their RIGHT MIND, would elect a person with foreign citizenship to sit in the highest office of their Nation?

It is not SOLELY about the citizenship of person running for office, but ALSO about HIS PARENTS citizenship, that establishes HIS CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT,, for a person running for THEE HIGHEST, and THEE SECOND HIGHEST, office in this NATION.

Obama clearly had a foreign parent.
Obama clearly had US citizenship AND Kenyan citizenship at the time of his birth.
Obama clearly had US citizenship, Kenyan citizenship, Indonesian citizenship, during his life time.
Obama (the supposed US Constitutional student and pseudo Lawyer), clearly knew he was not eligible.
Pelosi (signed the legal authorization, claiming Obama was legally eligible, when he wasn't), but then we already know her mode of operation, is to win, regardless if it corrupt or not.

While you may find illegal activity and undermining of the US Constitution irrelevant, I don't.

It matters not where Trump's mother was born. It only matters, that BOTH of his parents were US CITIZENS, at the time of Donald's birth, and they were - thus he is in line with the qualifications set forth in the US Constitution, that he is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN, which IS determined, by being born of TWO PARENTS who are US Citizens.

The "ONLY" US Constitutional "EXCEPTION", was for ANY MAN, whose parents WERE foreign born, and COULD NOT yet BE A CITIZEN of the US, "BECAUSE" the country was in the process of being ESTABLISHED! And that "EXCEPTION" only "APPLIED TO", a period at the "TIME" during the "ADOPTION" of the US CONSTITUTION. And that ONLY "excepted", the the first several presidents.....NOT men, 200 + years later, and certainly not OBAMA!

Article II Section One.

5: No Person except a natural born Citizen, (determined by Parents citizenship) or (the specific exception) a Citizen of the United States, (determined by individuals citizenship) at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, (MEN born in the during the forming of the US Constitution, born on American soil, citizens of the US, with one or more foreign parents, not yet citizens, as the country was being established) shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

A natural born citizen - is not about a vaginal birth or land they are born on, but IS about their natural citizenship, Specifically BECAUSE, both parents are US Citizens, at the time of the child's birth.

A natural citizenship in the US- is a citizenship by NATURAL RIGHTS - "NOT" "GRANTED RIGHTS".

A natural citizen CAN NEVER have his "natural citizenship" TAKEN away from Him.

A person "GRANTED" citizenship, (by the government), CAN have his citizenship REVOKED!

And no one in their right mind would SEAT a person holding foreign citizenship's, to the highest office of their nation.....but then thousands of Democrat's ....willingly and knowingly of Obama's foreign citizenship's did. Go figure!! Insanity at it's finest.
Who might the Democrats dream up next as a good prospect....Kim Jong-un?

no more then the fact that President Trumps mom wasn't born a US citizen is a problem for me now. Is that fact a problem for you? Been here:

Hailing from the Outer Hebrides, she emigrated from her native isle in 1930 and became a U.S. citizen in 1942.]

Donald Trump's parents -
Father; Fred Trump, born New York, US citizen
Mother; Mary Anne Macleod, born Scotland; 1912; immigrated 1930; US citizen 1942.
Married; 1936
Children;
1937; Maryanne - NOT eligible to be Pres or VP.
1938; Frederick - NOT eligible to be Pres or VP.
1942; Elizabeth - exact date, and eligibility unknown.
1942; Mother secures US citizenship.
1946; Donald born; BOTH parents are US citizens - IS eligible to be Pres or VP.
1948; Robert - WAS eligible to be Pres or VP.

Head scratching wonderment is not a big mystery.

Trump, according to the US Constitution, met all eligibility requirements to be seated as a US President or VP.

Hope you had a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends.

God Bless,
SBC

Apparently millions of other Americans had no problem with it either. President Obama was elected to office (twice) and with a greater number of Electoral votes then President Trump (twice) AND he managed to win the popular vote (twice). So, I'm thinking while some people want this to be a problem? It actually sounds a lot more like an excuse then an actual problem. :sorry:

LOL. Well now, to be fair to Trump, I've always figured that the nonsense he's said about global warming, was just him pandering to his base. Playing the fiddle for them. You don't really think he's that ignorant & unintelligent, do you?

Your post sure was a funny one, though!

Edit - hey, glad the feeling is mutual! Thanks for the rating, buddy. I'm relieved your post was just a joke. :D

Genesis 8:21-22 KJV And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. 22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

I don't think millions of Americans had a problem with Obama's ability to be charming. There are lots of people who accomplish nothing beneficial, yet are popular based on their ability to be charming.

However being charming, or popular, are not required qualification to be POTUS.
The sad part is, with the amount of money spent to educate Americans, millions of Americans are grossly ignorant of what the qualifications to be POTUS are.

Even some compared Trump's foreign born mother, who became a citizen, before Trump's birth, to Obama's foreign born father, who was Never a citizen, while also failing to notice Obama's desire to fulfill his foreign born father's radical dreams.

Ignorance of the law, is never acceptable as an excuse;
Not in US law, Not in Scripture.
Not by the accused, Not by those who aid the accused to perpetuate the crime.

The ability of one to charm another, preying on the other's ignorance, is not a new phenomena. In fact it is the oldest trick in the book. ie The Book, being Scripture...

Gen 3
[13] And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

The charmer himself claimed to be expert in the knowledge and understanding of the Law, yet he did not know, he was not qualified to legally sit in the Oval Office?
LOL ~ of course he knew!
Also as any prudent person should know most Americans have not been educated in the very basics of civics. :(

God Bless,
SBC
