How about J6 martyrs?
It's quite common to refer to the numbers convicted when painting them in a lighter shade of innocent. Something like 'the Birmingham Six'. But 'the Capitol One thousand Two Hundred and Thirty' doesn't convey the same sense of injustice, does it...

I cannot think of more than a couple of issues where she agrees with the majority of Republicans.
That says more about the substance of the Republican party than anything. She voted with Trump 92% of the time, but most of that has been tossed for blind fealty to a charlatan.

How many of those 1,230 American citizens were actually charged with and also convicted with insurrection?
What's that got to do with calling them "hostages"?

The ones that were believed to have committed seditious conspiracy and would likely be convicted of it were charged and duly convicted of that crime. Six so far, I believe.

I can't see the top of you head. Make a claim and you have a requirement to back it up rather than leave it hanging.
Watch, it’ll be this person had priors, and “known flight-risk”; normal; being touted as tyranny.

It’s like amateur hour.

The ones that were known to have committed seditious conspiracy and would likely be convicted of it were charged and duly convicted of that crime. Both of them serving 18-20 years.
So, then, only 2 people out of over 1200 people?

Or murder!?
They were charged with what they were charged with and the vast majority have pled guilty.

I think that some of the PBs got a charge of “seditious conspiracy”; which is, I guess, is “insurrection-adjacent“.

How many of them have been kept in jail for many many months before getting a trial?
The peak was around 40-45 and then the trials/pleas started. Don't know the over all number, but probably less than 100 (out of over 1200). Nearly all have been felonies. And the "group" just got three new entries as 3 fugitives were captured on Saturday. They ain't gettin' bail.

Were any of them found guilty of murder?

I corrected the post. It's six as I now understand it. And maybe you haven't checked to see what seditious conspiracy comprises...

To be convicted you need to show prior planning to overthrow the government. It was proved that those six did plan it in advance. And people charged with it needed to be involved in the planning. Not just involved in the act following the planning. As you well know, most of the people attacking the Capitol were doing it on the spur of the moment. Some of them with the intent of delaying process, but that's not covered by the charge as noted above.

Overthrowing the government, which is what some of the Proud Boys had been planning immediately after the election, is not the same as preventing the new president being declared the winner.

You need to brush up on what the charges were and what they comprise. Saying 'Gee, that's not many' just shows that you haven't done that. Let me know when you have.

And in regard to the 'Birmingham Six' and the noted numerical equivalent to the half dozen Proud Boys convicted of sedition, hands up all those who think that Trump only wants those 6 morons pardoned.

Trump only? Hardly. Such a recipe for disaster via backfire. After Trump pardons them maybe he'll add them to his administration.
