And unfortunately there's a stigma around researching such things. For the sake of completeness, there is another term for one who exhibits 3 dysfunctional character traits. It's called the "Dark Triad;"

1) A lack of empathy or compassion for others. Behavior that is similar to ASPD.
2) Machiavellianism. Using trickery to manipulate others for one's own benefit. The bad actors exhibiting this trait know exactly what they're doing, and are usually quite intelligent.
3) Narcissism. The belief that one deserves special treatment and approbation from others.

It's speculated hat persons afflicted with the Dark Triad may have decreased neuronal matter in the brain regions associated with normal socialization.

alien to enter the USA legally?

Or more specifically, for a long term stay as
a student for example, let alone permanent,
like, say, a spouse of citizen?

Oh, nonsense. I'm willing to bet a lot that I've thought far more about the subject than you have. Suggestions that illegal immigrants are bringing criminal genes in with them is pure demagoguery and has no basis in actual human genetics.

The good news is that the data show that the people coming here illegally are less criminal and violent than native-born Americans. It's no coincidence that El Paso has the highest percentage of such people in American urban areas, and is one of the safest cities in America.

I thought that beefing up the Border Patrol and increasing the number of immigration courts to sort out who belongs here was a good start. Trump had a fit over that and demanded that the republicans running the House of representatives kill it. They obeyed. So here we are.

My issue is that the fact that those people aren't dangerous as the rest of us is secondary to the fact that the law is being broken. We need to fix that. Part of it is stupid laws, and part of it is the law isn't being enforced because we've come to depend economically on the labor of illegal immigrants.

Fix those things, and we've made a huge step forward.
