I wasn't ever going to mention it, but during one of my first Stateside trips I gave out $50 a day (over ten days) to homeless people. If I didn't care, I'd of used that $500 to back a horse, or I might have bought a bottle of whisky with it. Okay, it wasn't a HUGE amount, but I was only milking cows at the time.

I don't want to flex, I ONLY want to say: don't make assumptions. Some of us are just here to dish out a few smiles and spread good vibes. I don't care about being British to be honest. I just care about people. (It might have something to do with my Christianity?)
$500 for a bottle of whiskey? Trump Vodka?

We have individuals who violated the law because it was obvious that Trump, the man they hated, would win re-election. Once they threw out observers and thus broke the law and ruined the verified validity of the vote they decided their will should rule and not the will of the American people. Those who support this have declared a war against the American people and the rule of law. If they get away with it this time you may never have another valid election in this country.

You know we have a friend in Mich and is working in one of those poll counting places and she said they came in with this huge amount of mail in's out of no where. Not before. She said it was very suspicious.
What happened when "she" reported it to law enforcement? I mean, election fraud is a pretty serious crime. I'm sure if "she" were really worried that the first thing "she" should have done was get the authorities to take a look.

This is the part that none of these people ever do for some reason. It is most off that they wouldn’t turn people in.

Actually, come to think of it, it’s not. Trump’s general disdain for whistleblowers probably makes them not want to do it. Trump foiled himself.

That was actually a thing! I can't believe it.

No different to Ron Jeremy rum though I suppose. The only difference is that I'd definitely side with Trump on this occasion. I wouldn't even so much as TOUCH anything that Ron might have even looked at, let alone drink it.

For the same reason I get frustrated when the arrogant, self-centred neighbours across the street insist on playing loud music at unreasonable hours whilst most of us are trying to sleep before work the following day.

Those neighbors must be liberals. They shouldn't have to work to achieve the same level as you. If you work and have things and they don't your government should just give them what you have.

We are all equal according to liberals. It's only us conservatives that believe in earning a better living versus being given a better living.

Broad brush you're using there.

I'm Liberal by American standards and I believe in equal opportunities, not equal outcomes.

Nevertheless, G-d has appointed the next President. I trust you shall submit and be praying for him as commanded by your scriptures.

Have a pleasant weekend.

https://nypost.com/2020/11/05/terrified-donald-trump-jr-calls-for-total-war-over-election/

“The best thing for America’s future is for @realDonaldTrump to go to total war over this election to expose all of the fraud, cheating, dead/no longer in state voters, that has been going on for far too long,” Trump Jr. wrote, repeating several conspiracy theories about the election and seemingly calling for Americans to go to war with one another.

“It’s time to clean up this mess & stop looking like a banana republic!” he added.

Looks like we might have some civil unrest after all? A lotta guns out there...
Trump is one of three presidents to be impeached. He called the impeachment a coup. This being one of his many exaggerations. Trump has been sued for fraud before. The court ruled against him. There are rumors of him being investigated for tax fraud. Can you imagine him deducting $70,000 for hair spray? What if the NY Times article about him not paying any taxes for years and years and paying $750 another time is true? He might go to jail like Paul Manafort or Michael Cohen.

There's also the obvious alternatives that what they saw was totally normal and they misunderstood, that they didn't actually see what they are reporting, that the story grew after being retold a number of times, or that the people who this allegedly happened to don't actually exist.

And yet for some weird reason Red States lead the list of requiring federal welfare from the Blue states to survive.

All my conservative neighbors live trashy, anti-God lives. The one plays his dumb hippie music extra loud all day and evening long. The other one is a freeloader who lives off her parents' money. Then the big Trump-supporter one has big parties every other weekend with his trashy guests, fueled by alcohol and tons of cursing around their children. All of them are unemployed and living off family money. I'm the only one who works a real job and my one neighbor who is Greek owns a restaurant, all our conservative neighbors are offensive, lazy, and trashy. None of them go to church, either, only the Greeks do.

Conservatives don't "believe in earning a better living versus being given a better living" - that's why they have their representatives do nothing but pull money out of wealthy, productive, liberal, blue states to support their unproductive, poor, conservative, red states. Those conservative states can't support themselves, they need New York City and Los Angeles and Chicago to support all of them.

I doubt the British care about our massive numbers of homeless and the millions living below poverty levels.
I cannot speak for all British, but some of us are concerned about the well being of all peoples, regardless of their nationality, race, religion, sex, or age. Just as I may admire the work of a skilled tradesman re-roofing a neighbours house, I can equally cringe at the incompetence and lack of empathy of certain political leaders.

I spent the bulk of my working life working for American companies. I amused myself once calculating how much I had contributed to the US economy/annum. It was more than that contributed by the average American. I've lived in the US and for the better part of the last two and a half decades spent at least month there each year. So, I think I'm not only entitled to have and express an opinion on the topic, but I also have some qualifications for constructing that opinion.

If history is any indicator, the world is an interconnected place where actions have consequences, and those consequences don't really care about imaginary lines people draw on a map.

Pretending like what happens in one country doesn't have an impact on another is simply an untenable position to take in light of, well, the entirety of human history.

-CryptoLutheran

It's unfortunate that Europe is made up of a bunch of tiny nations who cannot be self-sufficient enough for independent survival... I'm very sorry about that.

...But knowing that, we know where the ideology of globalism was conceived (by those who need it). And now with Brexit, I don't know their longterm plan.

...But here in the United States, Canada and Mexico, we're all quite large, and do indeed possess the capabilities to be self-sufficient without relying on others. This includes China.

Can't help it - there are millions of people like this, everywhere. Moving won't solve the problem. It is because these people have adopted idol worship and believe it's right for them to live off others but at the same time don't want working needy people to get what's fair. Besides, all 3 of these families keep threatening to move, claiming it's "too liberal" where we live - but funny how people like that never move because deep down they know they are lucky to live here and moving somewhere else will be worse for them. That's life in New Jersey - every conservative in NJ complains about the state being "too liberal" and they talk about leaving but they never, ever do because they know they can't go somewhere else this nice.

I think the UK and the US should unite, actually. I mean, if you guys are not self sufficient, and you need something, we're your friends...

...I would rather you all drop the protectionist "globalism" stuff that you obviously need for your current survival, and just join us. IOW, don't drop us down to small standards, instead, become large with us.

Certainly, subject to the following conditions:
  • Lose the obsession with guns, then lose the guns.
  • Establish a proper health care system, free at point of delivery
  • Educate your population so they understand that liberals are not the spawn of the devil.
  • Ditto for the understanding much of your population has of socialism.
  • Make crticial thinking classes compulsory for all citizens.
  • Finally, and most important, ban iced tea - that is the devill's work.
