Let's face it. Christianity in America with efforts from those within Christianity America itself has become a political tool power bloc. Trump in reality is about as Christian as my gold fish, yet unlike my gold fish he understands the power that bloc yields. And honestly to hear so many Christians speak to Trump's faith leaves questioning if they understand their own faith.

Titus 2:7-8

What power block? Christians don't all vote alike.

I'm sure Trump has done some many horrible things. That he needs to worry about. When it comes to being saved. Trump wanted to get involved, so he can claimed he stopped the war. But he didn't stop the war, so he's claiming a bunch of nonsense. To please the Christian's.
A common concept by non-Christians is that we're judged on a debits and credits system. But being our best is as filthy rags compared to God's righteousness, what credit can we possibly have? Even if we could live perfectly from this point on, we'd only be doing what we were supposed to be doing the entire time. Yet we often hear non-Christians say "I'm a good person." Compared to me they probably are, But while someone in a skyscraper is closer to the Moon when it's overhead than someone on the street below, both are very far from the Moon.

Taken at face value, Trump's comment is exactly that concept, no different than any other person trusting in their own works.

I would never say 'then you go up and have your little sip of wine and a cracker'. I was raised as an Anglican and took communion myself. I know what it means to people. I reckon if I did say it then it might well be reported for being flippant if not sacrilegious.

I hope that Donald Trump makes it into Heaven, but has to wait a long time rather than Bob, here…

Bob and Doug weren't only best buddies, they were the biggest of baseball fans. They spent much of their time discussing baseball history, checking all the scores and went to as many games as possible every season. They promised each other that whoever died first would come back and tell the other if there was baseball in heaven.

One night Bob passed away in his sleep.
A few nights later, his pal Doug woke up to the sound of Bob's voice from beyond.
"Is that you Bob?" Doug asked.
"Of course it's me," replied Bob.
"I can't believe it!" exclaimed Doug. "Quick, tell me, is there baseball in heaven?"
"Doug, I have some good and some bad news for you. Which would you like first?" Bob said.
"Tell me the good news first," Doug replied.
"Well Doug, the good news is, you bet there's baseball in heaven," said Bob. "The bad news is, you're pitching next Wednesday!"

THANK YOU!

As a Christian, calling Holy Communion a cracker is just uncalled for. But Trump admitted he regularly doesn’t go to Church or ask forgiveness for his sins.

I’ll leave it at that.

And yes, I’m aware you’re an atheist ;)

What's your best bit of evidence that he knows anything about the bible? For that matter - that he knows anything other than how to con people and lie and make excuses for himself?

Does he know anything about science - even the story of science or about various sciences? What about climate science, vaccines, Covid, health, being an adult, being a statesman, or managing pandemics?

Fail fail fail.

What about the economy? Tariffs are directly condemned by the founder of modern economics, Adam Smith.

What about innovation? Over 75% of all scientists are considering fleeing the USA - and the EU and China are both pouring HUNDREDS of millions into grabbing them all. Once bitten, twice shy. A brain drain like that takes DECADES to recover from.

Yes I'm judgemental - as by the end of his first term I realised he will go down as the worst President in history - only the second time around it's "Trump unleashed" and he is so much worse than the first time! He's crazy old for a President - older than Biden was. And he's got NPD, and it's making him act out in the worst possible way.

I genuinely fear for where your country is headed.
Just yesterday or the day before I was saying that Trump is so much worse this time around. I am an American and I’m scared about where our country is headed too.

President Trump dialed into “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday morning and revealed his newest and truest motivation for brokering an end to the war in Ukraine: He’s worried he might not get into heaven after he dies.

“I want to try and get to heaven, if possible,” he explained. “I’m hearing I’m not doing well. I am really at the bottom of the totem pole. But if I can get to heaven, this will be one of the reasons.”

If Trump makes it to heaven, he will be unrecognizable to himself and to all his followers. Because as things stand, none of this is fit for heaven.
No one deserves heaven. Even those who the world sees as the worst.

If he makes it to heaven, it’s only because of God’s immense mercy. Not anything Trump ever did.

Put your trust in God. We will survive, my dear friend.

and Ukraine has nothing to do with it. Part of his problem is that he thinks he can do anything or buy anything.

Correct.

Salvation cannot be earned or bought.

The United States voted him there and so many STILL cannot acknowledge the damage.

I think you're missing the point. What Christians love about this dude would never last in the presence of eternal love and life. What his supporters honor, means nothing to God. If he makes it to heaven, he will no longer be "Trump," because that is an illusion created and loved by him and his followers. What will remain is what God created, and that will be unknown and absolutely surprising except to his mama and Jesus. People and their idols, right?

He’s no spring chicken. He won’t be around forever. We have term limits, after all.

True. I wonder how he got to be this way?
