  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We have a Heart, Soul, and Mind. We are made in God's image, not vice versa. Why do we have these three that make up who we are?

The Heart, is the Father. Where everything is stored, its the source of His will His Mercy His wrath. Then we have the Son, which i like to see as the Soul, the lines of communications, through Him we are able to see and hear the Will of God. Then there is the Holy Spirit, the Mind, who makes sense of it all. Jesus Christ is the fullness of the Godhead. His Heart Soul and Mind is God Himself.

But then we have Jesus praying to the Father in the Gospel. I see it this way, like our souls speaking to ourselves, for example "My heart, why are you so sad? My soul rise and have strength! My mind says this but my heart says that." The Father has a Will, and the Son, who is communicating all that the father sent him to do. But, as you can see, not everyone is ready to see the son go. But it is what the Father wills and He knows best.

In the Bible it states that God is Living. This is why we see the Father Son and Holy Spirit as three different persons. The Heart Soul and Mind of God are Living.

Then the Bible speaks about "sons of God" Who are Sons of God if not people who communicate that which the Father says? Ministers? Angels are sons of God, the Word of God is the Son of God.

But to visualize this more clearer i use this analogy. The Father is the Mind/heart and everything, the source. The Son is the Voice, the Right hand, the communications. the Holy Spirit is the Eyes the ears the Senses, the receiver. It is because of the Holy Spirit that we can say "Wow, i get this now." Praise the Lord.

Another understanding i use to help understand is the Three titles i see God as. the FAther- Creator, the Son-Redeemer, the Holy Spirit-Sustainer.

Not only Did God create me, but he saved me, not only did he save me, but he keeps me up when i feel like giving up. It is not three different Gods but One sweeping motion of who God is.

For example God is like the Number 343. The Father Son and Holy Spirit are the Factors of 343. 7 x 7 x 7. Being that 7 is a prime number there is no other whole number that can go into 343 except for these three 7's. These three sevens are the smallest factors of 343.

ACtually i never used this number analogy, but since it cleared things up for me right now even more, i have hope that it can clear somethings up for you also.

(Note: im just rushing through here, please let me know if there are other numbers [the Least Common Factors] that can go into 343, so i can correct it.)

God bless.

UMM Since One thing that I am proficient at is Math the answer would be No the prime number 7 is the lowest you could go and is correct. it is also a good analogy.

Thats a cool analogy.
Check this out:

7 x 7 x 7 = 343
3 + 4 + 3 = 10
1 + 0 = 1

Also, 7 is the perfect number.

Read the last section of Mere Christianity by CS Lewis. You will not be troubled by the Trinity again.
Very true. Lewis is also the only author who has been able to convey to me the meaning of "His only begotten Son."
