CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Can someone who believes a literal three different persons to God (which most of you seem to) please explain how the Holy Ghost was the one who came upon Mary and made her pregnant, if God the Father is Jesus' Father and not the Holy Ghost? How would you interpret that verse?

Oh that is so true...I will find myself posting something and then later on going...wow I didn't know that was in there.You know the dangerous things about these places is sometimes you present things that you don't have fully formed arguments for.

I don't get into the argument of "God is three" versus "God is one".
I just tell my oneness brothers, "you say 'one dime' and I say 'two nickels' but the important thing is that we are talking about ten cents." I have had good success with that statement.
