CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, today is my youngest son's birthday. When little he thought we all went Trick or Treating to celebrate his birthday! Hmmm.

My family all had great fun last night. Lots of family and friends came over. I roasted hotdogs on the Grill and my wife heated up a pot of chicken and sausage gumbo (you always make gumbo a day early).
My wife decked me out as Captain Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean) and she made her own costume to look like Jadis, the White Witch, from the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. My wife looked like the movie Jadis, because no one would have recognised her, had she tried to look like the Jadis that C.S. Lewis created in his books.
Our younger children got lots of treets and a few tricks. We gave out a bunch of candy to neighbourhood kids.
I did not see any real druids.

I would have been there bro , not for Captain Jack and costumes , ........ but the food sounds great !!!
I stayed in with my son and watched two movies , one was the new Poseidon movie , much better than the original.

Yeah, I wish I could have been there too. Alas, although the exam stank for me, it stank even more for several other students. And seeing as how most professors grade on a curve, it could have ultimately turned out quite well for me.
The fact that I also did very well on another test that I got back today (I thought I'd bombed it) partially mitigated things.
