Is that Brittney or Jessica Simpson? Brittney is a follower of Khabbala, which is not a Chrisitan faith.

As far as the trendy jewelry goes give it three minutes and the world will be doing something else. I can't tell you how funny I think the three pound crosses of gold that are hung around a gangsta rappers neck is...
britney also has sported the OTHER fashion trend od celebreties, the little red braclette signifyinf she is into kabballa

UGH!

I would like to point out that the crodd/crucifix as fashion thing was hugely popular in the early 80's thanks to Madonna (someonme britney has confessed to looking up to, and has worked with who was raised catholic AND is heavy into kabballa)

Where did this idea of a rosary come from anyways?
From ewtn:
"Rosary - History: It is usually suggested that the rosary began as a practice by the laity to imitate the monastic Office (Breviary or Liturgy of the Hours), by which monks prayed the 150 Psalms. The laity, many of whom could not read, substituted 50 or 150 Ave Marias for the Psalms. Sometimes a cord with counters on it was used to keep an accurate count. The first clear historical reference to the rosary, however, is from the life of St. Dominic (+1221), the founder of the Order of Preachers or Dominicans. He preached a form of the rosary in France at the time that the Albigensian heresy was devastating the faith there. Tradition has it that the Blessed Mother herself asked for the practice as an antidote for heresy and sin.

One of Dominic's future disciples, Alain de Roche, began to establish Rosary Confraternities to promote the praying of the rosary. The form of the rosary we have today is believed to date from his time. Over the centuries the saints and popes have highly recommended the rosary, the greatest prayer in the Church after the Mass and Liturgy of the Hours. Not surprisingly, it's most active promoters have been Dominicans.

Rosary means a crown of roses, a spiritual bouquet given to the Blessed Mother. It is sometimes called the Dominican Rosary, to distinguish it from other rosary-like prayers (e.g. Franciscan Rosary of the Seven Joys, Servite Rosary of the Seven Sorrows). It is also, in a general sense, a form of chaplet or corona (also referring to a crown), of which there are many varieties in the Church. Finally, in English it has been called "Our Lady's Psalter" or "the beads." This last derives from an Old English word for prayers (bede) and to request (biddan or bid).

I read in the MJ forum that anyone going to practice the Kabballa has to be following the 613 laws diligently, i don't believe Brittany does this.
What is even more amazing is that these two women (Madonna and Brittney) were excepted into the group that really does not seem to enjoy teaching women.

From what I've seen, this new trendy Hollywood version of Kaballah has little to do with traditional Kaballah. It's being marketed as a "new age" thing, and the traditionalists and observant Jews aren't very happy about it.

Yes I agree and have read the same thing. Other members of the 'Hollywood Khaballah' are Demi Moore and Ashton K... mabey they are a shade better off than John Travolta who is a Christian Scientist.. but not much

Happy Birthday Mary!!!

Yeah I have heard the people who are in Islam say the same kinds of things when people in their faith go wacko. The same can be said for us (Christians) by the way too. :)

Here is a few things i've found on rosary sites:

trictly speaking, there can be only one kind of Confraternity of the Rosary - one whose members agree to say the entire Rosary of one hundred and fifty Hail Marys every day. However, considering the fervor of those who say it, we may distinguish three kinds: Ordinary membership which entails saying the complete Rosary once a week; Perpetual membership which requires it be said only once a year; Daily membership which obliges one to say it all every day, that is, the fifteen decades made up one hundred and fifty Hail Marys.

-lessed Alan began this great work in 1460 after a special warning from Our Lord, Who wished to spur him on to preach the Holy Rosary, spoke to him in the Sacred Host: "How can you crucify Me again so soon?" Jesus said. "What did You say, Lord?", asked Blessed Alan, horrified. "You crucified Me once before by your sins," answered Jesus, "and I would willingly be crucified again rather than have My Father offended by the sins you used to commit. You are crucifying Me again now because you have all the learning and understanding that you need to preach My Mother's Rosary, and you are not doing so. If you only did this you could teach many souls that right path and lead them away from sin - but you are not doing it and so you yourself are guilty of the sins that they commit."

-On December 10, 1925, sister Lucy received an apparition by the Child Jesus and the Virgin Mary in her convent cell. The Holy Virgin shown her a Heart surrounded by thorns, Our Lady said to her:

"See, My daughter, My heart surrounded by thorns which ungrateful men pierce at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude... Say to all those who:
for five months, on the first Saturday, confess,
receive Holy Communion,
recite the Rosary
and keep Me company for 15 minutes while meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary, in a spirit of reparation,

I promise to assist them at the hour of death with all the graces necesary for the salvation of their souls."

This is not biblical.
