  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I chose traveling by plane, but other then traveling by car, flying is really the only way I've experienced traveling. I would have chosen by train, but I've only traveled by train once and that was years ago. I love trains. To travel by train is so...romantic. :pink:

I've been to quite a few states and big cities up and down the east coast. As for the west and midwest, I've been to Arizona, Nevada and Texas. Spent good time all three states. I LOVE Arizona. I've also crossed over the border into Canada to see Niagra Falls, and in the summer of '08 I went on mission trip to Braila, Romania. I'd go back to Romania in a heartbeat.

Having literally just gotten back from a cruise this afternoon (I'm on CF while navigating the slowness that is my internet connection to upload pics to Facebook), I'd definitely have to say I love cruises lol But I also love car trips and trains. I tolerate flying (pretty much the only way I get back to see my family) but I don't love it.

Places I've visited: Mexico (Progresso & Cozumel, where the cruise went), pretty much every place you can think to go in Virginia (where I grew up), DC, England, Scotland, Florida, North & South Carolina, Kentucky, Texas (Dallas - where I live now, Houston, Galveston, San Antonio, Austin, many other places in between, but oddly never Fort Worth lol) and every state south between Virginia and Texas :p (when I moved to Texas, I took the bus)

Places I want to go: everywhere lol but especially Ireland, also back to England/Scotland and Mexico. DH is already planning (half-jokingly, I think) our next cruise ^_^

Do you like to travel?

I love the idea of travelling, but not the application of it ^_^

What are some places you have been?

All over the United States.

What are some places that you would like to go?

We just got a travel trailer and are breaking it in by going to some National Parks :D In a few years we might take it down to Ft. Wilderness to have some fun at WDW. We both eventually would like to take a trip to Hawaii, and I would love to visit Great Britain, France, Italy, and Germany.

Do you have any travel tips?

When travelling with an ADDer make frequent stops, or we will make the trip unenjoyable for you :p

ohh I'm so happy... I just booked my next trip (I'll be wandering around the great states of California and Washington again) and spending time with some wonderful CFers, all of whom I have met before.

plus the credit card I used builds up money with an airline here and every dollar I spend I earn the same amount towards a flight. which means... thanks to the money I've spent so far, I can take another couple of trips with the flights already paid for.

(it really doesn't take much to make me happy :sorry: )

How exciting Mina! Where are you going?

I'm also going overseas in a week. I'm going to visit my sister in Austria. I haven't seen her for about 2 years. I'm counting down the days!

Oh how lovely! Austria is beautiful!

We are going to Italy.

Have fun!

this site is cool; it helps to create a customized packing list based on the temperatures of your destination and what sort of activities you will be doing there. It's a nice reminder! Now I just need to pack for later this week! I hate packing! The Universal Packing List

Do you like to travel?
I love to travel very much.

What are some places you have been?
I've been to Greece, Belgium, Germany, Spain, France, and a few other places

What are some places that you would like to go?
I would like to go to the Far East some day like China or Japan or Thailand
As well I would like to visit Fiji and Australia soon

Do you have any travel tips?
There always time to read!
The hello and thank you... in their native language make people smile.
Try strange food, in all cases it will create a memory either good or bad.
I learned that everywhere I will find shampoo and all that stuff so no need to stress about it.
I used to get stressed when lost, but now I take a breath and enjoy it.

Do you like to travel?
Love it! I try to make it outside Sweden at least once every year and have successfully done so since '97.

What are some places you have been?
Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, France, Austria, Slovenia, USA and Canada. And literally all over Sweden (all 25 provinces).

What are some places that you would like to go?
I'd like to visit more Eastern European countries like Hungary, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia etc. More of the ex-Yugoslavia region like Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia etc. Russia, China, Greenland, Alaska, South Africa, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Australia and New Zealand.

Do you have any travel tips?
Pack light, bring comfortable shoes, walk around the city instead of taking the touristy buses, stay in hostels to bring costs down, buy food in grocery stores, etc.

Tips on places to visit
Seattle, New Orleans, Chicago, Stockholm (Sweden), Abisko National Park (Sweden), Gullfoss (Iceland), Salzburg (Austria), Isle of Skye (Scotland), Killarney (Ireland), Ljubljana (Slovenia).

Do you like to travel?
Absolutely

What are some places you have been?
Myrtle Beach SC, Washington DC, Virginia Beach Va, New Bern NC, Salt Lake City Utah, Springfield Missouri and several other places mostly around the South.

What are some places that you would like to go?

A place apparently called "Nowhere" in NC :p Scotland, The Black Hills out in the Dakotas, and lots of places back out west. I also love going to Myrtle Beach, one of my favorite places.

Do you have any travel tips?
I prefer sitting in the center of the plane, especially the smaller ones, cause you get bounced around a lot less if there's turbulence. Also, if most people would just follow the rules when they get to the airport, they'd have a lot less hassle getting through security. I've never had a problem with getting patted down or searched. Just follow the freakin rules.
