'You don't think we should be sorry for our sins? Our sins hurt or fellow man. God wants us to love our fellow man. If you steal, you are stealing from someone. If you lie, you are lying to someone. If you cheat on your husband or wife, you are cheating on someone.' yes of corse i do, any logical person would agree we should be sorry when we do wrong. but what about those who dont know that they are doing wrong? we all have a concious and try to do what is right by it. if someone is sorry for doing wrong and regrets it but does not believe in God they are still punished by going to hell for all eterniy! being eten by worms and burnt continueosly, with no escape!! have you ever pictured that? because i do all the time! if someone rapped me, stabbed me, killed all i love, i would still not want that for them for eternity. have you ever dwelt on eternity? i have and it is the worst thing imaginable!

Hi Bunny, you are judging God by one group of Christians theology. You have to remember not all Christians have the same doctrines. Catholics believe its possible for those who do not know Christ to be saved, its in our catechism. Hi Bunny, you are judging God by one group of Christians theology. You have to remember not all Christians have the same doctrines. Catholics believe its possible for those who do not know Christ to be saved, its in our catechism. but how do i know whos right and who's wrong?! all i want is to love God, thave someone to be thankfull to, someone to aplologize to when i do wrong, or have bad thoughts, but i just cant do that and believe that eternal suffering is what people like my family, who will never belive in God deserve! its diving me insane! how do i know who to listen to? if i belive in a God that forgivess non-believers does that not mean i am worshipping a faulse idol and not the God shown in the bible?

Hi Bunny, take it one day at a time with Jesus. The Catholic Church does not say who is or who isn't going to hell because we don't know a person's heart at death. The Catholic Church teaches for a person to go to hell they will have to die in unrepentent mortal sin, here's another article for you on our teaching: http://www.saintaquinas.com/mortal_sin.html Right now Jesus wants you to trust him and follow him and give him all your concerns. Give him your love ones and stop letting this be an obstacle in your relationship. You can make a difference and your prayers can make a difference. What won't make a difference is you getting anxious and upset about the matter that you can't function in your normal life and your life with Christ. He wants your relatives salvation more then you, remember its a serious unrepentent Sin that separates us from God because he is all good and love and can have nothing to do with evil and will not force anybody to embrace virtue. Read the bible but remember there is many interpretations out there, that's why we believe Jesus gave us the Church so we will know his will in all matters. What Church, that is something you are going to have to study to see where and what is the Church of Jesus Christ, best wishes. I would start thinking of the positives of getting to know God because they will start to bear fruit in your life and the lifes of others.

thanks for your help, but i just cant get the image of most of humanity being continually burnt and eaten by worms for all eternity with no ease to their suffering! i just cant stop thinking about it. im just constantly crying, thinking how awaful it must be for those poor souls who made the wrong decission, as petty as swearing or lusting after someone before they are married. i shal try my hardest to find faith, but thoughts of hell overwhelm me so all i do is scream and cry outloud with pain!

didn't God create hell? dont christians believe that all people who sin deserve hell? dont they believe everything that hapens according to God's plan?

God did not want life for people to be misery and pain. Look at the stories of the Eden He created for us. Whether these stories are literal or allegory, the message is still clear--God created a perfect world for us to live in, and He desired our love and fellowship and even walked with Adam in the garden.

This is the life that man rejected when He rejected God. And God took on flesh and died so that we can return to Him and have eternal life if we choose to do so.

yes but its not as easy as that, how can people choose, when they dont believe. its not an easy thing to do. wouldnt anybody choose eternal life with God if they believed in God? but some people cant, not in this day and age.

These sins do not send anyone to hell. Unbelief is the only sin that sends a person to hell, rejecting Jesus. All the other sins a person commits in their life determines their degree of punishment.


Whose Fault Is It?
A preacher and an atheist barber were once walking through the city slums. Said the atheist barber to the preacher: "This is why I cannot believe in a God of love. If God was as kind as you say, He would not permit all this poverty, disease, and squalor. He would not allow these poor bums to be addicted to dope and other character-destroying habits. No, I cannot believe in a God who permits these things."

The minister was silent until they met a man who was especially unkempt and filthy. His hair was hanging down his neck and he had a half-inch of stubble on his face. Said the minister, "You cannot be a very good barber or you would not permit a man like that to continue living in this neighborhood without a haircut or a shave."

Indignantly the barber answered: "Why blame me for that man's condition. I cannot help it that he is like that. He has never come in my shop; I could fix him up and make him look like a gentleman!"

Giving the barber a penetrating look, the minister said: "Then do not blame God for allowing these people to continue in their evil ways, when He is constantly inviting them to come and be saved. The reason these people are slaves to sin and evil habits is that they refuse the One who died to save and deliver them."

Hi Bunny, it is aweful for any soul to be lost. One thing is for sure, God would have tried everything in reaching that soul but was rejected time after time. Souls that go to hell go for a very serious unrepentent offense to God and neighbor. People that have committed the worse sins can be forgiven on there death beds so you don't know who is lost. You can help save souls by your example and prayers, nobody loves like Jesus, nobody is more forgiving then Jesus, no one is more merciful then Jesus but he also warns people of the dangers to their souls. If people want to live dangerousily with their salvation, it is indeed sad and grieves Jesus that God and his will is disregarded for the world. Jesus died so that we would have life and gave us his teaching so we would know how to please the Father. Souls that are in hell, hate God and hate you, cursing everything that is good. Stop feeling sorry for those who only wish your complete destruction but the souls that are alive here, they are the ones to pity because there is still hope, be hope in the world with Jesus. The devil wants you to be distracted, start focusing on your relationship with God and journeying with him to his kingdom. Pray, pray ,pray for those who are dear to you. Even those who have died, you do not know they are in hell, God could have applied your prayers to aid them since he is outside of time, seeing your future prayers for them, you just don't know. God bless and Jesus wants you to be at peace, try to move forward, one day at a time.
