Toxic Masculinity Vs Toxic Femininity

What are your thoughts on society bashing toxic masculinity yet leave out toxic femininity as today people want to shun only masculinity. This gets shoved on children especially boys. Just like you hear how bad it is to be a misogynist, but yet misandry ideals are alright in today’s society.

By today’s standards many men of the Bible would be considered in the box of “toxic”. Is this alright?

Tarring cultural masculinity or femininity as toxic is unproductive.

But if we're going to go there with masculinity, we must not spare the femininity either.

Seems to me what many find toxic in masculinity or femininity are the very ideas of masculinity or femininity themselves. Although in the case of the latter it's not regarded as nearly as toxic and men are being encouraged to be more feminine while the traditional masculine virtues are diminished.

I hate toxic femininity where women want to act like men or pretend like they don't need a man. I also hate how society is making boys and men too soft. I can't stand a soft man. That's part of the attraction for me towards men, their masculinity. Being like a real man. Not so soft and feminine like. I'm not talking about crying, real men can cry, I mean other stuff. I want to shout to the soft ones "be a man!" LOL
I hate when women try to say we can do everything a man can. No we can't, and we're not supposed to.
It's very toxic to try to force women to be something God did not make us to be and toxic to try to make men to be something God did not make them to be.

Modern society wants to eliminate everything unique about each gender and make everyone to be some kind of androgynous genderless being. Yuk.

Having once been a part of a community center that was active in the "Men's Movement" of the 90's , I can say that what is happening now had its foundation laid decades ago. It is a pity that men can often feel afraid to explore just what it means to be a man. We don't have to be toxic to do that.

It's not a surprise that there are organizations like Men Going Their Own Way in this society today. I personally don't think that avoidance of women is the answer, but if you read through their platform, they do have a lot of pertinent points; men are considered predatory. Men do get the worst end in divorce settlements. Men do end up losing everything they acquired in the marriage, including property, assets, access to their own children, etc. Men are expected to descend into indentured servitude to support ex-wives with lavish tastes.

And yet, in too many cases, women complain that they can't find men who are willing to commit, who are ready to pledge their lives to a woman, men who will take the step to propose marriage and family. But in too many of those same cases, who can blame them? Why would any man want to take the chance at losing everything if a marriage goes to pieces after five or eight years?

The problem is that we have trivialized marriage, made divorce too easy, penalized too many ordinary people for the behavior of the worst ones, and discarded the traditional, God-established roles for male and female. Once you pull out that underpinning, the whole structure is bound to collapse.

When the SHTF and society has gone full on Walking Dead under the beast system, it isn't going to matter if a woman looks traditional enough, or if a guy is limp-wristed and flamboyant.

What's going to matter is your faith under threat of death.

Everyone hears how hard it is to be a woman yet overlook that men also have it hard. Most people in prison are men, most homeless are men, most victims of violent crime are men, most who commit suicide are men, the draft affects only men, workplace deaths, false rape allegations, family court bias, lose custody, lack of male resources for domestic violence, lack of resources for single fathers, who do worse in school and drop out are men. So generally speaking men have it worse in some areas and women have it worse in others. Yet today men are overlooked and masculinity is considered toxic.

Toxic femininity is the Real Housewives shows. It's what teaches women to become hyper-toxic/aggressive, and destroys households on a daily basis.

Perhaps the answer to toxic masculinity is the gentleman. In a truly civilized society, there is no need for combat. There is energy to devote to things other than mere survival (like CF), which is a very human thing to do. The gentleman is capable of battle, that's where the gentle part comes in, but never has to engage because society is civil. Whether one can be a gentleman or not has little to do with the individual and everything to do with the society. That's why we can't have gentleman in our society; we're a bunch of brutes lol.

Honestly, I think what seems to go for masculinity is a caricature of a bad idea. Acting tough doesn't guarantee toughness. Ideas of masculinity seem like an attempt to be Stoic with no connection to virtue, or anything really. Anyone can be strong, courageous, efficient, whatever; it's not just men. But, as a whole, we dont seem to care about virtue or goodness. So masculinity is often like a facade. It's all Putin on a horse, every last bit of it lol. These days folks (men and women) act tough with guns, so it's about as toxic and counterproductive as it could be. It's stupid. I'm going with toxic humanity. We're not doing well at this society thing, at all.

I'm a rather straight to the point fella. I'm not known for candy coating my words. In fact, I've been told my words cut like a knife. And I've been told on more than one occasion that I'm a toxic person. lol Because when I speak my mind, I typically turn the entire room against me... even those who agree with me like to pull me aside and try to "school" me on how I should have said something "better".

Do I care? Nope. lol

They haven't talked suicides off bridges or had to respond to an officer screaming over the radio because there have been shots fired. They don't give pre-arrival instructions to EMS to a mass casualty event. They haven't served in the military and been shot at. They've not had to do things I've had to do that keep me awake at night. So, frankly I think this whole "toxic" thing is for soy boys. But, that's just me.

I just don't fit in. And honestly... I look around and I'm fine with that. lol

Honestly, what scares me 100 times worse than Putin on a horse, or masculinity in general, is the authoritative role that a so-called "Karen" takes up. I've seen some pretty bad videos under the title of "Karen's behaving badly", that really take the cake.
