Can I wear a pantheist icon to poke fun at the system and still be considered Reformed, or is that generally frowned upon?![]()
Darn, so I can't be a Taoist anymore?I don't think it's a good idea since everyone is freaking out because of the switch of rules.![]()
Actually, there is no humor in that stance or statement as it is considered blasphemy. Claiming to be 'pagan' is like spitting in the face of a holy God, abominable! Why would you desire to do such a thing?
If you want to come to salvation in Jesus Christ you would be welcome here. Many here would be of help to you.
If you have no interest in learning of Him then there is little here you would find of interest. We will be praying for you, that He would open your eyes to His truth and cause you to see Him as a holy creator and ruler of the universe and desiring that all come to faith in Christ.
See what I mean Ian? People can't take a joke.Actually, there is no humor in that stance or statement as it is considered blasphemy. Claiming to be 'pagan' is like spitting in the face of a holy God, abominable! Why would you desire to do such a thing?

I'm using it to make a point; our current system makes faith icons just so many aesthetic aspects of our profiles. I don't mean to offend either, but I feel it's a point that needs to be made. Why do we use icons? So people can identify who we are and have an idea of our belief! If one comes along and sees one claiming 'pagan' on a reformed forum why would they question their claim?
I certainly would never mean to offend but yet I find it offensive that one would be on a christian forum with the claim of being a pagan, even in jest! Is that a subject of jest? I dont joke about issues of eternity!
So now its come to this, that we dont identify others by their icon, but who we think they are, is this right? No stand for truth, just poking jokes at the system? How credible is that? Oh well, guess I'll retreat once more in frustration.
I don't find any humor in it either, but you have to admit, the way things are currently set up in terms of faith icons is rather absurd. If we use that as an indicator of where someone stands theologically, we're all going to be in serious trouble. Of course, unless you know the other person, then it's just a moot point.some just dont finf humor in people claiming to worship false gods
what he saidTigress ismost definitely not a pagan. I think her point in displaying a pagan icon is to demonstrate how foolish the new system is when it allows someone to display an icon whose faith they don't adhere to.
I do depending on the context is being used since other dieties are a joke.some just dont finf humor in people claiming to worship false gods
