Whatever conditions were present at the Earth's formation were not the same as what would happen if the planet was scoured by a global flood. And even if they were, that life took millions of years to develop. Which they don't have.

Maybe you can answer something that's been bugging me while we're on the subject - I'm guessing you accept that dogs originally came from wolves, right? How many species of wolf were on the Ark?

The oceans? Lakes? I can't believe people ask that question. The bottom of the ocean floor is a plate over molten lava. There were also probably no high mountains 4000 years ago like today. There was a lot of volcanic activity during the flood. Ocean floor comes up some, things will get flooded on a world wide scale.

Some was frozen in the ice age and that created land bridges in some places as the ocean levels were a bit lower then. As well as frozen ice.

No, it's not. And the varieties of dog were designed by men through artificial selection, not natural selection.

Foxes aren't even in the same genus as dogs and wolves. Foxes are in the genus Vulpes, and there are 12 of them. As far as wolves go, there are 10 living and 7 fossil species. Here is the list:

Canis armbrusteri (extinct 300,000 years ago)
Canis aureus (Golden jackal)
Canis cedazoensis (extinct 300,000 years ago)

Canis edwardii (extinct 11,000 years ago)
Canis ferox (extinct 5,000,000 years ago)
Canis latrans (Coyote)
Canis lepophagus (extinct 1,800,000 years ago)

No, since AV is telling you what God has shown him. I show you what God's Truth is "according to the Scriptures." That is WHY I know it is God's Truth since God is the Author.

Dear CabVet, There is but ONE Truth and it is according to the Scriptures. Everything else is a personal view, which does not mean that it's not true, since God gives every believer an understanding which fits their Faith.

Being in the same clade doesn't mean close relatedness, just sharing a common ancestor, however distant. So science says you are in the same clade as your pet goldfish (clade: bony vertebrates), or your potted plants (clade: eukaryotes), or even your gut bacteria if common descent is universal. Clades work a bit like Russian dolls, smaller ones sitting inside bigger ones.
