  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Just wondered if you had ever seen this. We had roast beef a couple of months ago and DD (who was about 2 at the time) woke in the night, crying, whining and generally out of sorts and out of character. I wondered if it was indigestion from quite heavy red meat.
We have not had it since and ony stuck to minced beef dishes.

Tonight we had fillet steak for DH's Father's Day meal... DD had a small piece, it was Soooo tender and she chewed it well but has been waking since 10.30pm, again out of character. I am wondering if whole beef ( as opposed to minced) is just too much for her digestion.

I cannot eat beef because of how sick it makes my stomach feel. Neither can my 4 year old daughter. She had it at my parents' house a few weeks ago and from about midnight through the next day she was whiney and complaining about stomach pain. Beef was the only thing she ate outside of her normal diet that day.

So, if everything else within those days was normal for her and the beef was the odd food then it could be a protein that her body does not digest very well.
