CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

To be fair to Mr Trump ... no, hang on a minute while pull myself together ... to be fair to Mr Trump, the "doctor's letter" his campaign produced was under the letterhead of two doctors, father and son. The father, apparently, is no longer with us; the letter was from the son.
There are many oddities about the letter, but the suggestion that it was written by a spectral hand is, unfortunately, not one of them.

True. But Hitler managed to only be married to Eva Braun for 2 days. Trump has never managed to make any of his marriages that short, though of course he has time for more attempts.

Trump backs away from his earlier bold stance on immigration, declaring that he will follow in the vein of Obama, who has been doing a fine job.

What people don’t know is that Obama got tremendous numbers of people out of the country. Bush, the same thing. Lots of people were brought out of the country with the existing laws. Well, I’m going to do the same thing.”
