Tonight in Trump, The Donald will be ranting in Mississippi (sp?). One of his warm-up acts will be none other than Nigel Farage, the racist foghorn mouthpiece of Brexit. Now sporting an unambiguously creepy spiv moustache. It promises to be a laugh a minute, folks, believe me!

So Mega Mouth and Farage have had a love-in.

"Mr Trump introduced Mr Farage as the man who "brilliantly" led the UK Independence Party's campaign to secure a vote on the future of the UK's 40-year membership of the European Union."

Well Farage probably is the only person who could equal Mega Mouth in terms of the size of his ego. But it is not he who is responsible for the Brexit vote. It is David Cameron who thought he could use a referendum as a quick fix to shut up his right wing, and Boris Johnson who wanted to court the Tory right to further his leadership ambitions.

Of course, it was only a month ago that fully paid-up racist Farage was explaining how Trump's anti-Muslim rhetoric made even him feel uncomfortable! That's a pretty solid measure of just how bigoted Trump's rants have been.

Trump backs away from his earlier bold stance on immigration, declaring that he will follow in the vein of Obama, who has been doing a fine job.

Not that Trump said it, but that all of his supporters who've been attacking everything Obama has done for the last 8 years as the worst thing since ever, will not see the problem here.

Hitler did marry one woman, and stay faithful to her for the rest of his life. Let's see Trump try that one? Even if we start the stopwatch now, Melanoma is looking more and more like a liability, I'd be less than surprised to find out there's a new Mrs. Trump-in-waiting already

I like Hugo Boss, and find Trump's suits tend to be ill fitting, if not downright garish. Just sayin'

Ah, but in the video of the spiv Farage addressing the Trumpery (on the BBC site), he is wearing that tie and that suit — but without the moustache! What's going on? Is it possible that the George Cole look was too much even for Mr Trump (who is something of a trendsetter in the matter of hirsuteness)?

If you're determined to promote a weak candidate (Hillary), it may be necessary to invent a beatable opponent.

Well, yeah, actually, arguably. What many people like to forget is that, were it not for the Holocaust, Hitler is pretty much a perfect candidate for a certain type of genuinely well meaning but small minded socially conservative voter.

Luckily, we learn from the past, and no one would ever make the mistake of allowing a dangerous demagogue to rise to power on a wave of disaffection at the establishment combined with fear mongering populism and nationalism. I mean, could you imagine?
