Today I thank God that last night I could attend a wonderful
Christmas concert held in a local church near here. (not my
congregation but a good neighbor) and be so blessed by the
performance given by the orchester and choir.

This is a yearly event and a real blessing for not only that church and friends who attend; but a witness to our city as well. It's free and
so well attended that they perform the same concert two nights to accommodate the crowds.

God is glorified!

Belatedly thankful for Jan's return as well! I'm also grateful for the storm today and a chance to catch up on all sorts of projects . . deeply grateful for the stability of the power source these days . . I remember blizzards in my childhood where it hardly took a single swirling snowflake to snuff the electricity out, and we'd have to depend on an old woodburning stove to heat the old farmhouse and cook. Unfortunately, so many area churches had to cancel their Christmas programs . . so next Sunday will be jam packed!
