I'm giving thanks that my son is coming to visit for a week. He's flying in from Nashville and plans to be here for my surgery. My daughter already lives here, so I'll have both children and my wife to cheer me along. Four of my five grandsons also live here. I'm looking forward to getting this done and behind me.

How nice that your family will be around you Tom, and trusting that all will go smoothly.

I'll follow on from that thought and say that today I'm grateful for family: those who are around us and those who have gone, but who have played such an important part in our lives. Thank you Lord.

..and today I'm grateful for a lovely Sunday, and meeting with the Lord. When the weather gets better I plan to spring-clean the house. Today I think the Lord did some spring-cleaning in my soul, and it's let more of the "Sonlight" in!
