We've been getting news reports of beached wales on the South Island, and how people have been trying to save them. So sad. Do you get many wales in the waters around NZ?

Today I'm grateful that the Lord is our loving Father.

Today I'm grateful that the Lord is our loving Father.

Yes, we do get sightings of whales in various places round NZ, Sue. Around half of the world's whale species population are seen round NZ. This type of sighting is not what we want, though. Just this evening, they said on the news that after yesterday's successful re-float of the remaining whales, yet more whales have beached themselves not far from the original beaching. DOC have been working tirelessly to save as many whales as possible.

Today I'm grateful for all the laughter the good ol' British comedies have given us over the years.

Had to go to Costco today for five items....President's Day, knowing it would be packed. Off I go! Pulled into the Costco parking lot to see a semi trying to back-up the loading bay, no one would stop so he could back up. Decided this visit would take half the morning, and feeling pity on the trucker, I stopped so he could back up. Quick beep of his horn and a friendly wave, he backs right in. Drive closer to the door and what see but the first space open!

Weave through the store, find all five items on my list and as I approach the check out lines, all open with at least ten people with filled carts in each cart. What are you going to do? Pick I line and prepare to wait. Not 30 seconds later one of the regular cashiers grabs my cart and says, "Hey girl, come over here, I'll ring you up, a sister (she's a fellow Christian) isn't going to wait on line with just a few things in her cart." She rings me up and I'm on my way.

In and out of Costco on President's Day, in less that 30 minutes.........this is what I'm grateful for!
