I don't know how it's done but if you like please just remove my posts in this forum!
After being personally maligned I felt the need to defend my position and obviously had to better explain both being and not being an SDA. Technically a member but not a believer in the teachings of the church.
It does sound convoluted, I agree.
At any rate, I agree I don't belong here. So please just have my posts deleted. This whole conversation has served no good purpose and I take full responsibility for stirring up trouble amongst brethren, which is a sin.

I agree with you, Lainie, I truly do...however, lately, there has been nothing BUT these kinds of posts to respond to. I don't know what's going on...but it's all I'm seeing. I come on to check for posts (Intelligent ones) by you, honor, Pale, or Happy, and the others, and all I find is this nonsense. If I put EVERYONE like this on ignore, there won't be ANY posts, lol.
I would like to say to PRESENCE, I apologize brother, but if you go back and read ALL of your posts, from beginning to end, you will HAVE to admit they sounded crazy. I'm sorry you appear to have had such a bad experience in our church, but again, you can't have attended ALL of the Adventist churches in existence, and one church and one brethren's experience should not speak for all.
I admit I am infant in the studying of Ellen White goes, because I spend my time in the bible, the majority of it anyway...but so far, sir, I have found NOTHING she has written to contradict God's word....so I don't know where THAT comment came from.
If you really are unhappy being associated with the SDA church, I assume you could request "disfellowship". That way your name would be taken off of the roster. No one should attend a church, for any reason, that they are unhappy in, that they don't believe in. No church would want people to do that, ours included.

As the OPer--lol of the thread--I have to say another big AMEN to Cliff's post. Even if we didn't have a thus saith the Lord to go by--just observing the results of alcohol on our society over the past 6000 yrs should be enough to make any THINKING person avoid it like the plague!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i feel like an outsider here. Everybody is trying to say who did what to who and such. I really think the whole squabbling about nonsense is a waste of finger energy. I just feel like Jesus being perfect in him. I know the SDA standards and i hope you all have fun. GOD bless. I have manic depression and sometimes a people pleaser. I also have borderling personality disorder. I don't want you guys to think this is a personal attack on anybody. I hope you understand and bear with me. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Yes it is a quote from a musician but what a great quote . AMEN

that means alot to me honor. I have known all my life the sacrifice Jesus gave for us. It ls all written in the bible. I am encouraged when i am persecuted. I don't want the fighting. If all have our knowledge and talents. I hope we can give it to GOd and let it all fade away. Amen Brothers and sisters. We stand together to weather the storm. (lol)@storm. If we can't handle this little tidbits of altercations then we are going to be nervous wrecks at END times. I pray i have the strength.

I agree Jon--but we are called to be the "watchmen on the wall" against apostacy. And watchmen are never appreciated by the wolves who come to "steal and destroy".
