I tried to look up brass swords on Google and got almost nothing. I suspect that a battle between bronze weapon and brass weapon users would have been very rough on the brass weapons resulting in a lot of dead brass weapon users but I can find nothing comparing these two as material for swords and such so can't really say if this is true. It would be interesting to find examples of brass as sword material and information comparing the two metals in that context.

No kidding! There's nothing wrong with that. In fact, it's a valuable an honorable field. It's too bad it's been polluted by people who are so in love with molecules-to-man they don't believe science can function without that premise.
