Thucydides Trap refers to the concept that a rising and established power are likely to engage in conflict or war due to their inherent tensions and competition. Harvard University professor Graham T. Allison wrote a book titled "Destined for War: Can America and China Escape Thucydides's Trap?"

The Fermi Paradox is the apparent contradiction between the high probability of the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations and the lack of evidence for or contact with such civilizations. Here is one way to resolve this paradox: When a superior civilization detects intelligence from another planet, it will automatically, preemptively, and summarily destroy that planet to avoid the potential Thucydides Trap.

I am glad that God is in charge of the amoral universe.

I love this kind of topic. Here is another possibility. When a highly moral civilization detects immoral intelligence on another planet, they avoid it like the plague. :)

I have thought of that also. Gonna incorporate this into one of my sci-fi plots.
