Three Good Things!

2. Had dinner with parents
3. I continue to be amazed by how blessed I am to be marrying such a good man

1.Had a totally unexpected visitor drop in today. Was great to catch up.

2. Felt better today than I did yesterday.

3. It rained! It rained! We so need some rain at the moment!

1. I saw my boyfriend
2. My Mum bought me some new clothes
3. I had a good laugh with my parents and boyfriend this evening

1.Got to church this week after feeling so sick all week.

2.Felt well enough to get some basic housekeeping done without it feeling like I wanted to keel over afterwards.

3.Kids helped with cleaning up the yard today and we actually had fun together doing it.

2- Aunt Flo is getting ready to leave.
3- I listened to Up by Shania Twain.

Been a tough couple of days and I saw this and thought I think I really need to do this to try and get a bit of prespective

1. A good friend dropped in unexpectedly to have a cuppa and to chat

2. I haven't had any real time pressure 'things' to do.

3. It hasn't been a really hot day today as expected.

Might come back later for some more...hehe

1. Got to spend a good deal of time making some cards today. Fun

2. My husband opted to go and do some grocery shopping for me. Nice break from the monotony...(hmmm although I wonder if there isn't some avoidance in that...)

3. I don't have to cook dinner tonight, nice when it's such a hot day.

1- 18 hours of no benzos.
2- Pleasant conversation with my 16 year old daughter this morning.
3- Trash man coming today which encourages me to get some of the clutter out of my house.

Research has shown that people who wrote down 3 good things that happened to them at the end of the day increased their happiness significantly over a 6 month period. This is something I've already been doing a little of before I knew about the research, but I would like to make a point to do it every day now. Since I have an anxiety disorder, I sometimes find myself in the car on the way home remembering the embarassing or insecure moments of the day and worrying over those instead of concentrating on all of the positive things that happened. I think this would be a good exercise for me to learn to concentrate on the positive aspects of my day. So tonight I will be back here to report the good stuff that happened today!

Does anybody else want to join me? What are 3 good things that happened to you today?

What really helps me is when something stressful happens I take a moment and ask the Lord to renew my mind..and just that quick it's gone....Amen.

From yesterday: 1. Went to the doctor, my labwork was excellent (big surprise) 2. Laptop broke, and I couldn't access any of my work from this semester (very very bad!!) BUT CompUSA saved the day 3. Got offered a job for after graduation

1. Came here and saw the last post...God is still on the throne. So needed that!

2. Had a very dear friend pop and chat with me on FB...someone who I can't talk with due to distance, phone issues etc. So that was very GOOD!

3. Hmmmm..struggling for a 3rd...maybe the last can count for 2

hmmmm.......... I haven't had my coffee yet, we'll see how I do with coming up with three good things.

1 - I got over 7 hours of sleep last night.
2 - I got to spend several hours in prayer and Bible reading yesterday.
3 - Coffee is brewing.

1. Went to the MIL and got some stamping done for my card making

2. went for a walk this morning and felt great afterwards

3. felt better than I did yesterday

Had a good job interview (1 of 2 in the process), got a good deal on a big cookbook, got a lot done

1 - A lady in our neighborhood made a suicide attempt last night, but she was stopped in time.

2 - We were able to take in one of her sons for as long as needed.

3 - Others in the community have been able to take in her other children for as long as needed.

Yesterday: Got the house clean, had fun with hubby, and my dog is still alive.

1- Hubby bought a used shelving unit to put our CDs and DVDs in.
2- I got all of them put away today.
3- I have a whole bunch of fresh strawberries (from my neighbor's garden) in my fridge!
