No it still works. The body was delivered by Roman soldiers to him then taken to the tomb, as he was leaving around night More roman soldiers would have been coming as a watch over him since right at night(as that was the beginning of Saturday) the pharisees came and briefly spoke with Pilate and had him send soldiers to watch over him until the third day.

All checks out
Nope.

Yes... I am saying that he rose on Saturday after either seventy two hours from when his spirit left his body on Wednesday..... or from the time when his body was placed in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea........ That would depend on what he fully meant by "heart of the earth' and I don't know that exactly.

This may seem nit picky but the number of Jews in Israel that are coming to belief in Yeshua - Jesus as Messiah the Passover Lamb is growing so fast that this is an important detail for the majority of pastors and theologians to soon become aware of for when you do visit Jerusalem...... or for when you get to speak with Orthodox or Jewish or Conservative or Reform Jewish scholars who are noticing some of the unusual things that Messiah Yeshua - Jesus is doing all around the world.

Interesting. I have been trying to do the math on this for years, and thought he had to be crucified on Thursday, but you may be right!

OK, you go with the "readers digest" accelerated time compression version. I'll go with the literal 72 hours from a known high sabbath.. fair?

But you would be wrong...for the reasons I gave you. THAT (weekly) Sabbath was a "high day"...the 15th of nisan

Scripture shows that those who took him were of the Sanhedrin court, they were the sinners who took Christ and when they brought him to the Romans the Romans did what the Court wanted them to do with him.

Starting at the first Legal Trial before the Sanhedrin all the way to the resurrection would have been 72 hours without changing any of the facts or astronomical records of which day Nisan 14-18 took place on, and without changing the fact that his first legal trial did not start until the start of Morning on Nisan 15 and the day of his death was on Nisan 16 at the Ninth hour(according to God's time and not the Roman time). All of these facts prove definitively that he could not have been dead three days and three nights in the grave. So the meaning of in the heart of the earth must mean by sound reasoning something other than the grave, which we can clearly see from scripture to be the hands of sinners/Sanhedrin court as that is who held custody over him whether directly or indirectly through their roman puppets.

#1 The trial was NOT legal. #2 The 15th of Nisan was the 1st of UB, so no trial. #3 The 16th of Nisan was Yom HaBikkurim. #4 The eyewitnesses on the road to Emmaus prove your timeline wrong. #5 You are totally wrong on every level, historically as well as scripturally.

It was a Legal trial conducted during the day, astronomical records all show that 15th of Nisan landed on a Thursday that year, and that the 16th of Nisan(the day he died) was a Friday. The eye witnesses saw Christ on sunday after he was risen. So all of what I said is true and in accordance with the word of God and history.

God bless

Sorry, you are dead wrong on every facet. No the Jewish trial was NOT legal and it was at night. The lambs are killed on and only on the 14th. The 15th is the 1st of ULB.

The lamb was killed near sundown of the 14th, Christ was arrested that night(night of the 15th as the night comes before the day) he went through three illegal trials until sun up on the 15th then he had the trial all day long before the Sanhedrin(legal trial), then his trial before pilate, herod, and then Pilate again friday night(night before day) the 16th and that day at around the ninth hour of the day he died.

"Jonah himself gives the interpretation that he was in the realm of the dead" Jonah did not imply that he thought he was in the realm of the dead, that is your interpretation.

Not true in the slightest, it is shown quite clearly in scripture. The idea that was dead three days and three nights has no basis in God's word, as he never said he would be dead three days and three nights, but rather as Jonah was in the wale three days and three nights so should he be in the heart of the earth(hands of sinners, Sanhedrin court).

May God bless and Guide you to the truth of his word

The third night
That is not correct. The day follows the night on the Jewish calendar.

The Sabbath begins at sundown after the sun has set on the sixth day.

So what day comes after the third day, well the fourth night begins after the third day on the Jewish calendar.

We are talking about the days of his death, the 72 hours began with his first legal trial during the day. So to complete that time after the third day of the 72 hours would come the third night.

As to God's time, night comes before day so, so the 24 hour period begins at night.

I apologize as I thought you were asking what came after his third day of Trial during the 72 hour period, which would be the third night(Sunday night)

Your reply does not make any sense.

'So to complete that time after the third day of the 72 hours would come the third night.'

How can a third night follow a third day of the 72 hours?

What hour follows the 72nd hour?

'I apologize as I thought you were asking what came after his third day of Trial during the 72 hour period, which would be the third night(Sunday night)'

This is a paradox, how can a third night arrive after a 72 hour interval?

The 72 hours was not completed during the daylight hours of Saturday(day) but it was completed Sunday morning. Which follows after Saturday. That was what I said.

Chart to illustrate what I am saying.

We have a problem Houston.

Your saying that the 72 hour time period ended after sunset on Saturday. That cannot be correct, the seventh day ends at sunset and not after sunset.

Your in fact declaring that Jesus rose after the 72 hour time period, which is during the 73rd hour or sometime after that 73rd hour.

Thus you deny a third day resurrection and your promoting a fourth night resurrection.

You cannot deny that your proclaiming a fourth day resurrection.

I am not, he rose Sunday morning immediately after/right at when the 72 hours had been completed.

The first legal trial started in first hour of the morning thrusday, Christ rose in the first hour of Sunday morning. Full seventy two hours later(three days and three nights).

Your not correct on this point.

You have Christ in the tomb during the entire third day. So Christ cannot rise on that third day. You have no choice but admit that Christ must rise after the end of the third day, i.e., sometime during the fourth day.

I do not, the end of the 72 hour period was within first hour of Sunday, just as the beginning of the 72 hour period began within the first hour of Thursday morning(at his first legal trial in the morning). Exactly 72 hours, exactly three days and three nights. Rising still on the third day of that time frame.

No. The lambs were killed during the day on the 14th in the afternoon. Yeshua was arrested the night before, where He went before the Sanhedrin (illegal trial at night) and convicted by the Romans on the morning of the 14th. The 15th was a Sabbath (also the 1st day of ULB) so there would be no trial. Sorry, none of your timeline is correct.

Three Days & Three Nights in the heart of the earth

Scripture for each Point in the chart. Lamb was killed at the going down of the sun on Nisan 14(Deut 16:1,6; Mark 14:12-18) after it was killed they ate, then sung hymns and went to the garden that night, then arrested at midnight, then three illegal trials, then Legal one in the morning after that night before Sanhedrin court, then three legal trials the next night, delivered to be crucified during the day and dying at the ninth hour of that day. All of which checks out with scirpture and astronomical Records.
