Not quiteI think Passover occurred on the weekly Sabbath, and that is why it is called a high Sabbath by John.
I'm not sure about Nissan 14 and 15 but the Sabbath and Passover were on the same day.You think the 14th or the 15th was on the weekly Sabbath?
But they call that imaginary Sabbath, which supposedly occurs on Thursday [I think], the high Sabbath. My position is the high day is the weekly Sabbath because Passover fell on that Sabbath. Not quite
He calls the Sabbath a high day. Scripture never makes mention of a "high Sabbath". It's a made up term by proponents of the 72 hour interpretation.
Yes, agreed. I'm just pointing out that Scripture makes no mention of the term "high Sabbath"But they call that imaginary Sabbath, which supposedly occurs on Thursday [I think], the high Sabbath. My position is the high day is the weekly Sabbath because Passover fell on that Sabbath.
That is conditional on them entering the land that God has promised. That is a future event.Unless ULB (15 Nisan) occurs ON the weekly Sabbath day.Don't forget Yom HaBikkurim, that is another event during the days of ULB... Leviticus 23:9-12

Mark 15:42 And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath
Luke 23:54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.
John 19:14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
That is conditional on them entering the land that God has promised. That is a future event.

Are semitic Christians in the Middle East anti semitic? Practically the entire Middle East comes from Shem through Abraham.
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is one sentence in there that I would like to draw attention to:
3) And one week shall establish the [new] covenant with many: and in the midst of the week my sacrifice and drink-offering shall be taken away [on the cross]: and on the temple shall be the abomination of desolations [continued animal sacrifice]; and at the end of the time an end shall be put to the desolation.”
This verse is one of the several reasons as to why I felt that a Wednesday crucifixion...... late Wednesday burial......Thursday an annual High Sabbath the fifteenth day of the first month on the Hebrew calendar........and late Saturday resurrection was such a logical theory.
Do you see my logic or do you think that I am way,way off on this?
Three days and three nights in heart of earth?
(The first chapters of Matthew indicate how it was common knowledge at that time that the Elijah and the Messiah were coming but most people did not yet understand that this was to be John the Baptist and Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus).
Yet John said he was NOT Eliyahu HaNavi. He said he was "one crying in the wilderness..."
Shabbat Shalom

[1] And Elias the prophet stood up, as a fire, and his word burnt like a torch. [2] He brought a famine upon them, and they that provoked him in their envy, were reduced to a small number, for they could not endure the commandments of the Lord. [3] By the word of the Lord he shut up the heaven, and he brought down fire from heaven thrice. [4] Thus was Elias magnified in his wondrous works. And who can glory like to thee? [5] Who raisedst up a dead man from below, from the lot of death, by the word of the Lord God.
[6] Who broughtest down kings to destruction, and brokest easily their power in pieces, and the glorious from their bed. [7] Who heardest judgment in Sina, and in Horeb the judgments of vengeance. [8] Who anointedst kings to penance, and madest prophets successors after thee. [9] Who wast taken up in a whirlwind of fire, in a chariot of fiery horses. [10] Who art registered in the judgments of times to appease the wrath of the Lord, to reconcile the heart of the father to the son, and to restore the tribes of Jacob.

One interesting aspect of this is that it is OK for Messiah Yeshua - Jesus to hide some information from even his most trusted Special Forces personnel, such as John the Baptist. I believe that John did not know that he was the Elijah for that time period...... but Messiah Yeshua - Jesus did know it.... and the same thing could happen in our time period. The real final Elijah who has such a massive To Do List may not even realize that he is leading this.
Did John the Baptist accomplish all of the follow massive feats?
Personally, I do think that he did.... but in our time period it will be even more obvious, especially if the theory is true that the final Elijah will be one of the Two Witnesses of Revelation???
Douay-Rheims Bible, Ecclesiasticus (Sirach) Chapter 48
My guess is that John was incorrect....and of course Messiah Yeshua - Jesus knew more than John did even about John's role.
Matthew 17
10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elijah must first come?
11 And he answered and said, Elijah indeed cometh, and shall restore all things: 12 but I say into you, that Elijah is come already, and they knew him not, but did unto him whatsoever they would. Even so shall the Son of man also suffer of them.
13 Then understood the disciples that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
Eliyahu was taken alive into Shamayim. John was killed, beheaded. The 2 Witnesses will be killed, so it could be Eliyahu but not likely John.
