  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I could use a pizza right now. Who's delivering? :p
I'd settle for a cheap frozen pizza right now!
^_^

Your local grocery store might sell the dough - I know mine does - cheap, too. :D

That, or you could use a bread machine if you have one. That's what I do when I have the mental fortitude to make it from scratch. :p
You know, I have seen that now that you mention it. And they look like the real doughballs I used to make when I was a baker. I must have made thousands if I made one doughball.

Hubby is full-blown sick. :(
Oh no. I just got over whatever I had before and I'm already feeling this sinus thing trying to take hold. But I appear to be fighting it off. It hit me right when I got to class the other night. Basically a very tickly, dry cough. My instructor got hit too at the same time...we were both racing to the men's room during break to blow our noses. I had to wake up two nights in a row now due to coughing. But I feel normal most of the time. I really do think I'm fighting whatever this is but it's making me nervous!

Usually make our own. But the crust really isn't homemade. It comes in a bag, you just add water.
Homemade really is the best.

Hubby and I are feeling better, thanks for the prayers, but my new signature shows a worry I have. :(

Thank you, Faith. I've received several encouraging words this morning about babies who were asthmatic and on breathing treatments and outgrew it during toddlerhood. My own brother outgrew it too, but I myself have only been recently diagnosed with it. I believe God is leading people to tell me their stories of their recovered asthmatic babies, to give me hope.

Please pray for my daughter too. She is trying hard to quit smoking. She would never smoke indoors, or anywhere around her children, but it does remain on clothes. Here's hoping Alana's condition gives her an added incentive to quit.

The state I live in offers a free program and provides 4 weeks of free quit smoking aids (patch/gum), as well. Can your daughter look into something like that?

She knows about them, but I'm not sure what method she's using. The fact that I myself managed to quit almost 4 years ago encourages her.

Ugh. I invited this woman into my home and tried to befriend her and how does she repay me? By trying to proposition my husband.
Wait, what??

Wait, what??

Yes. You read that correctly. She is the now EX-girlfriend of one of DH's friends. She took DH's cell number out of his friend's phone and started texting my DH and saying really inappropriate things.

That is just sad!

It is. I was trying to kind of take her under my wing b/c she has a lot of problems...more than I realized, apparently. :| I was angry last night, but today I just pity her and am praying that she finds her way b/c she is obviously very lost.

I have encountered these types from time to time. Often they will drag you down with them. It's good to try to help, but be careful!

Glad there is some improvement! :prayer: continues. :)

My oldest started with issues at a young age (double ear infections at 6 months - nebulizer treatments by 1 1/2 yrs old) Sick all in between that...and was diagnosed with chronic sinusitis and chronic ear infections at the ripe old age of 2 1/2.

He was diagnosed shortly after that with a severe dust allergy. We started him on Zyrtec and have been able to control his allergies. It has helped him tremendously to remain on OTC allergy meds. I have to switch them out from time to time as he builds a tolerance.

We still have the nebulizer, too, b/c he is prone to getting wheezy if he has a cold...and also has exercise induced asthma.

So...I can relate!
