CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just got a text from my husband just making sure I made it to work ok.... I am in a bit of shock (in a good way) as that is a first for him. Makes me want to do a happy dance
Both for him making it safely and for the text to make sure you made it to work OK.

I'm in the den and my middle boy and the baby are in the living room. I'm listening to him sing a song to her about how she looks like a beautiful angel and he loves her.

I'm totally not a phone person either. But I have a job where I work 100% on the phones. I really, really don't even like calling people in my personal life. I did start texting about 2-3 years ago after being badgered to death. It is quite handy I must say. It can be annoying definitely. But the benefit of not having to talk is a big one for me.Sure wish my hubby would be a texting-type person! He wants to get a cell phone but he doesn't. "I'm not a phone person", he insists. Riiiight, well I can help him change that tune!
Now my wife and I text each other from the next room!

Sure am getting a headache today. Fil went to see specialist. He's refusing hospital stay but has to get tests done. Blood work, bone scan and some others. So right now he's at home again. He hasn't been able to keep anything solid down since Christmas and he's barely staying hydrated. We'll go visit him tomorrow night before we head out for our trip.
I'm so frazzled right now I just wanna..........I dunno. Vent it out somehow.

I did some house cleaning and another load of laundry's going. Pass on the snowball fight, I'm tired of snow already!
I think I'll go upstairs and hide myself in the bedroom and watch a chick flick. Hubby should be home soon but with this crap weather, who knows. If I had a glass of wine, I'd take that with me!

Not gonna make it to Disney afterall. FIL is gravely ill with the flu and dehydration. He's in the hospital and decisions need to be made with the family. Hubby's family needs to be together at this time.
Disney will always be there and when we do go.....we're gonna have a total blast!

More often than I'd like, yes!
One thing happened this week that I'm very excited about.
My daughter used her potty for the first time!
We started around 11:30 and she had been holding it since getting out of bed. I sat with her for about 45 minutes before she finally opened the flood gates.
Also my wife was given a hot lead about some work for this summer and Fall teaching one class and possibly an online class as well.
