CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

WOW. Our neighbour's mail-box is uprooted and the box totally busted off the post!! Ours stands right beside it & it's still standing. Dogs had been barking like C-R-A-Z-Y last night, hubs went outside to check & he saw Amish neighbours looking for stuff on the ground. They didn't say anything.
Last week our mailbox got dents in it from a "horse in training" & the Amish guy came & told hubby by the weekend...wonder if this is the same story?

Turns out it was a young Amish guy who plowed BOTH mailboxes over because "it was too foggy". It was not that foggy last night. Maybe in HIS mind, but really....
So he offered to fix it and I let him. Maybe he'll learn to keep his buggy straight on the road next time. Both boxes are now standing, but the neighbour's box is seriously damaged. It's not even a year old yet!

Ugh. Nose ran faster than me this morning and didn't stop when the work out was done. I thought I might have beat this! I can't even smile without hurting my nose is so sore! I hope it goes away, or my trip to Ireland will result in comments like "cute picture of your husband and Rudolf." Miserable and have to be super friendly at work tomorrow. Anyone want to come restring guitars for me tomorrow? I'll just stay home.

I am holding off a head cold I think. Had the heat up too high last night and that dried me out.

On lunch break. I may look and feel miserable, but I'm also slightly in a cold-medicine induced "high"... I don't think I've laughed so much at work before!
