I raided the bag of Almond Joy that was supposed to be for the trick or treaters! That's ok tho, I left them some and also Snickers.


I seem to remember doing this last year as well...

We live away from town, so rarely, most years never, get trick or treaters... but we just have to get goodies just in case... then we get to eat them

husband puts in the goodie order for the trick or treaters....and it is always the goodies he likes... hmmmm

Or the funniest and most clever one i ever saw was a guy in college dressed as a mammogram machine, complete with a "slot" that was for, well....."the test" and a Polaroid camera mounted inside.....come on, A plus for creativity, despite the score for taste. It was funny.

It does pay to have candy on hand just in case. Some years we don't get any kids come by...other years several. When I was growing up there were mobs of kids all over the place of all ages.

I kind of miss that.

I bought our candy a few weeks ago and hubby said I wouldn't be able to stay out of it until Halloween (he knows me well ), but I did manage to leave it alone!

Although, I have kept a bar of dark chocolate in the freezer to snack on.

Had Sunday lunch without hubby for the first time that I can recall. What a weird feeling. Just me and the kids. Of course the 12 yr old had to sit in "daddy's chair".

Where's hubby? He went off to a record show in the city.

no wonder I did not know what it was... I am totally nothing hot, or I should say my stomach is totally nothing hot. I did ask husband if he heard of it.. cuz he is all the hotter the better.. and yes he heard of it but they don't sell in our neck of the woods.

Yeah! There are actually better hot sauces out there but this one is my standby. When I get tired of other sauces I always come back to Texas Pete.
