Yeah, and those "troubled neighborhoods" are only in places controlled by liberals, right? None in red states, right? If it is all the "liberal's fault" red states should be perfect, too bad they aren't.
Don't be so fast to blame the federal government either, remember that before Obama we had 8 years of Bush and nothing was different during that time.
I was being very specific, 'liberal government's of troubled neighborhoods', means the mayors, alderpersons, and elected law enforcement officials, of those neighborhoods. In other words those directly responsible for law enforcement. Many states have conservative governors but liberal mayors and other local officials. Same with the Fed. We can have a tough-on-crime president who is powerless on the state or city level. Thus the responsibility lies with local officials.
Another element is budget. Many municipalities can't afford to pursue an effect law enforcement plan in these neighborhoods.
