Living in the sea for the few hours they were supposed to be on the sub is very possible, they were just in a substandard vessel that failed.

Some believe bizarre things. There is no indication billionaires are trying to do anything but provide or purchase an adventure. Science fiction is full of of living beneath the sea, or on the moon, our other planets, or travel beyond the solar system because humans are inherently curious and imaginative.

Eternity does not sound like bliss. Something outside of the home all humans have ever known? Not interested. Honestly, how many billions of years before you are just done? and eternity in worship? One hour of church a week was more than I cared for. Mercy is to fade to black.
