Your post demonstrates a lack of understanding in government, finance, and policy. But further, your inability to assess your own inept knowledge on these subjects makes conversing with you somewhat pointless.

So...no responses, just attempts at insults.

The Bible's currency is precious metals. And not on paper, but real tangible metals you can hold in your hand and bury in your backyard.

But precious metals fluctuate in value, just as do stocks and bonds. And they don't earn interest or pay dividends.

Remember the parable of the talents in Matthew? The servant who kept his master's money safely buried in the ground but earned nothing, was berated, and kicked out of the house. But the servants who invested the master's talents, and returned more to him than he left them, were praised and rewarded.

The fluctuating in value of precious metals is where money is made or lost. Metals are a stable investment which is usually a slow gradual increase such as a blue chip stock.

The parable of Mathew has no relation to investing financially for one's own benefit. The parable is about bringing sinners to God rather than lining ones pockets with material wealth.

I don’t know from where you derive that interpretation. The parable’s prima facie message is that it’s not sinful—but actually commendable—to invest money in anticipation of a profit. As opposed to your post (# 18) where you implied that precious metals are worthwhile because they can be buried in your back yard.
