Excuse me?
I try to do what's right...<snip>
I disagree with your interpretation, and thus your conclusions. You can't try. You either do or you don't. You have already failed by trying. Are you ready to be judged by the WHOLE law?
Oh wait, you only TRY to follow that parts that you believe apply to you and then with no measure of efficacy.
BTW- no, you are not excused.
Paul said "I am a Pharisee". Either he told the truth, or he lied, or he was acting (which is also a form of deception).
So saith Pharisee Paul.
I disagree with your interpretation, and thus your conclusions.
Liberty to do righteousness, not liberty from sin.
I am not allowed to comment on this.I can't help it if you continue to refuse Paul's own explanation for his statement in Acts. I can see how this understanding would wreck your whole non-Pauline unbiblical belief since Paul does not contradict any other NT writer as all of them are led by the Spirit in their writing of God's revelation.
We've had this discussion before. Is the majority always right (cf Mt 7:14)?
The question is this:And yet you sin.
The question is this: <snip>
I consider Luke & Acts to be history books, written by a man without much first-hand eyewitness experience to the events he chronicled, but from the records he heard from others. These books are part of my canon as Ketuvim-level Scripture. So do you, the non-Pauling Messianic, throw out Luke's gospel as well? Or do you consider Luke to be inspired but Acts to be non-inspired? Seems a wee picky and choosey.
Pardon me if I prefer to leave that judgment to YHWH
I'll answer yours after you answer mine!
Have I ever written that I do not sin? That's ok. I already know the answer.
1 John 1
8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.
