it's amazing how this went from nice simple sheets to horrid pictures of spiders and flaming death................

I think it all started when the non-sheeters were trying to terrorize the top-sheeters by saying that spiders crawl up draped top sheets that hang to the floor. Just what we need, two more denominations, at least I'm a top-sheeter.

Is it crazy that I find that itty bitty little furry black spider that Kylissa posted, to be sort of cute? He looks REALLY tiny.. I don't think I'd freak out over that little guy. Now, if that's a baby, and they grow ten times that size, that's a problem! But I can just see this miniscule spider doing the "come at me, bro" move Kylissa described, and I'd squeal and say "ohh, you big, scary spider, are you gonna get me? are ya? you're so scary!"

LOL. I've only seen them pretty small. I've seen TINY and then a bit bigger, but still not big enough to cover my pinkie nail (and my pinkies are small!). They are nearly always miniscule when I see them. And yeah, they border on cute for spiders. I usually don't kill them - hardly ever in fact - if that tells you anything.

And it should say something, because they DO jump and will get on you, and if they were bigger, that would seriously freak me out!

I live in the Pacific NW and we don't have big scary spiders, at least not the ones posted here. We have house spiders. Big whoop. Maybe a few brown recluse's here and there, but nothing extreme.

Or so I thought. One morning I woke up with my eye swollen almost completely shut. When I went to the doctor, he said I had 3 distinct spider bites on my eyelid/eyebrow area.

And we live on the 3rd floor of a condo building and have not seen any spiders in our condo for years! Lil rascals! I show no mercy if they happen to cross my path!

I bet that wasn't even from a brown recluse. They are very nasty bites!!!

I get (usually) a bad swelling that sometimes lasts for months from spider bites. I don't mind them living somewhere else, but if there's a chance of being bitten ... !

Spider bites are nasty. That must have been awful! Hard to even imagine.

I may be wrong but spiders (at least certain ones) like dark, damp places. SO bed sheets are dark and damp if the person is sweating or obviously just warm as we humans tend to be.
