Was just thinking about how in the past few years I've been learning to step-out more and think of ways to brighten other peoples day, like in the grocery store, walmart, drive through fast food, whatever. A simple smile, simple something about the weather, How's your day going? and I"ve been amazed at how much the frown or grumpiness they had seems lifted, just with a few words.
Has anyone else been discovering this? I call it almost "country friendliness", it's one of the things I've been noticing small town folks do. I feel like I must have been asleep for more than a decade to not have noticed or just plain in my own lil bubble (I think the later).

The father was very soft hearted and then I remembered that there were 4 black kitties at my neighbors house yesterday sunning. I mentioned it and tried to make up for what I said. Mentioning they could put fliers in mailboxes and that maybe the cat is at that neighbors place.
