I see driving in city traffic has brought about road rage. Relax. I've cooked a roast and have brown rice and broccoli to go with it. Cheesecake for dessert? ;)

I wasn't driving in the city. Ambler is still nearly a half hour out of Philly, and is quite rural.

You are making me hungry... it sounds very good.;)

But, I'll pass on the cheesecake. Too many calories. :D

It's nice to know there is still some undeveloped land up yonder.

Well, it rained all day and I enjoy cooking when I have time, so after church we were challenged for things to do. Food seemed the logical indulgence.
Instead of cheesecake, have fresh fruit and cream instead. I do either that or have some dark chocolate chips with a bit of whipped cream or pudding. Satisfying but not too indulgent. :yum:

Oh, and if that's not tempting enough, The Ten Commandments is in the DVD player. ;)

E-mail me the cheesecake. I'll take it. My cooking sucks

I make a decent chocolate cheesecake, Rad.

How was that lady-friend of yours today?

Dunno--------I'm just keeping a low profile and not encouring anyone. I think it's too early. Even though my X is history I'm still not over her. It's only been 3 months since she left.

How hamans can dissolve a marriage so superficially is beyond me. Nobody honors God's wishes and takes it too lightly. It's a throw-away society.

SHe's Lutheran and doesn't think she has done anything wrong.........sheeesh.

That's unfortunate and sad. I agree with you that civil law makes it too easy to disregard God's law.

I don't know the details of your situation, Rad, but 3 months is no time at all. Time to heal is critical, just don't let so much time pass that your heart is allowed to harden.

Porteross, you sound like my kind of girl. If that Brit of yours doesn't get off the pot, I just may come out there and run off with you(LOL)!:D I love the entire menu (yum!). Just the kind of thing I'd make up for myself. With just Nana and myself here though, I'm afraid that it'd be the menu for half the week!:D

Rad, time is what you need now. Keep the lady at a distance. If the Lord is willing, when you're ready she'll be there. Otherwise, it would have been better avoided anyway. Then again, who am I to be giving advice here? My wife died almost twenty years ago and I'm still single. Though, maybe that's a good thing (for any poor long suffering woman that is LOL:D)...

Don't worry though, Porteross, I was just kidding about running off with you. Well....

I simply don't know the answer to where God wants me or if He even means for me to be a wife again, but things in England are seriously fractured and I still don't understand why, but I trust that God does. I leave it in His hands.

What a priviledge to carry everything to God in Prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit; Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer!

There are times I wish the Lord would answer in a way I could hear more clearly. Then again, a thunderous voice from the heavens:eek: would probably have me hiding under my bed!;)

Well, since we're both up, how about a cuppa, Seajoy. I'll be mother. Do you like licorice? There's a box of Stash Licorice in the cupboard. It's about the only herbal tea that I'll drink.

Sorry, I don't care for licorice. Something stronger tonight, perhaps? :(

Taking everything to God in prayer...you said a lot right there. :)
