What did I say??

You said I looked 12, which is true, but you know how women are.....I suppose you missed my previous response.

I think she looks kinda cute.

Ponytails are OK... except when they're dunked in tea.;)

How about beer? :D I guess my bottled water is safe.

I was afraid I looked like a pastor, so I got a new dress. What do you think?

The new dress looks great SeaJoy, but I liked the other one too.

I am really enjoying the stories everyone has about their pets. Some sad and some glad, I guess in this world we can expect both.

I need to get a dog of my own. The lab we have here now is my daughters dog. They had neighbors complaining about his barking, so they brought him over here last fall. The funny part is that the compaints about narking continued even after he was at my house. He is a really nice all black lab. I guess I prefer large dogs, and dogs that are primarily outside pets or at least can be, but I would also like a dog who could come inside in the evening for company.

Some people! :sigh:

I like large dogs too. We used to have an Irish Wolfhound. But when we moved to town, we gave him to some friends in the country. He wasn't happy without a place to run. :( I missed him a lot.

We now have a beagle so I'm able to walk a small dog. He's six months old now, and a little smartie. He's getting 'Aroooo' down pat! He's a darling!

The new dress looks awesome, Seajoy!!! Your character looks so much like ME ;) LOL I colored my hair darker for the winter, and haven't had time to change my character...but I'll probably go back once spring hits, so why bother at all? ;)

Good morning all. What a Blessed day this is!

Wow, I have missed out on a lot of chat; pets, fashion and more.

Let's see, I grew up with a toy fox terrier dog and a siamese cat. We have had two cats, the first one was with us about 7 or so years and disappeared one night, never knew what happened to her. The one we have now is definitely king. We have had him 7 years and he rules the roost.

Here, it stayed above 32 all night! Now that is cause for celebration as we have had a cold winter. Also, warmer temps make that white stuff go away faster.

Have a great day all!

Yea Quilty! It's above 32 here too!

We had a siamese cat for a long time, but our son and son in law are so allergic we had to rid of him. I thought he was the prettiest thing ever.

I guess I did. What was it?

Look a few pages back. I forget and I'm too lazy to go find it.

hmmm....must be the devotion to the treadmill. In the past week, I've gotten my lunch free at Subway because the guy at the window thought I had waited too long and when I had the truck serviced and detailed I was only charged for the tire rotation the service manager extended my warranty and threw in a new battery. Of course I praised God when those things happened...and then giggled. ;)

Beer? Hmmmm...

Yes, well, it is not good for my weight loss plan, but I sure do miss it. Maybe by this summer I can have one more regularly. It's so good after mowing the lawn.

I don't know when I'll get brave enough to just let mine go grey! I have TONS of grey though because of hormonal problems I had in my 30's. I think if I let it go I'd have the streaks like the Bride of Frankenstein LOL Honest!!!

OH we're having a wonderfully warm day today...I think it MIGHT get to the 50s!! I'm going out to walk the dog now...LOOOOONNNNGGG walk!! I'm going to tire her out so she doesn't bother me for the rest of the day ;)

Plus my exercise bike broke yesterday and I need to find another means to exercise :( 10 miles a day for the past year...and it's 30 years old!! It was my moms when I was 10 LOL This weekend we're going to go hunt for a new exercise bike or maybe an elliptical. Does anyone here have an elliptical and if so what are the pros and cons?

Ellipticals are great! I'd get one or the TreadClimber if I wasn't out of room already with my treadmill and Bowflex. The best thing is it gets you up for better blood flow, which always puzzles me about bikes. Unless you stand and push for power at least half the time, how much aerobic work are you really benefiting from?

We gals seriously need to be concerned about our hearts, ya know. That and our glutes. ;)

When I tried the elliptical at the gym in Minnesota (when we went to the Mall of America last summer), it sort of hurt my knees. Did I perhaps do it wrong?
Dunno. It's probably the extended range of motion that was emphasized which is normally not done. If your knees are healthy, I doubt it would damage them. I have bad knees, but it didn't bother me too much the times I've used it. It just wore me out incredibly quickly!

It's a serious machine, but probably very good for the joints, especially the hip area. The aerobic benefits have to be phenomenal as well.

My neighbor has one and she lost TONS of weight without having to diet too much. It took her a year to do it, but she did the machine for 30 minutes a day at least. She said she could get a much better workout for 30 minutes on her elliptical than walking for 45 minutes. Sounds good to me as long as it doesn't hurt me!

I'm just afraid to call her up and ask her about her machine because she's a nurse who works shift work and I never know when she's asleep. yikes.

Then you have someone to help you get started. That's great!

Yes, if I would work out routinely and seriously I could eat liberally without as much worry. I know this about my metabolism, but do I pay it heed? noooo...

The last month that I've been behaving and being more disciplined about what and when I eat and exercising has me feeling so good that I don't ever want to stop. I feel like a kid!!!
