NOT unrepent ones like Willy was mentioning. Repentent gays or peds or whatever are the ones that need it like all sinners. Jesus told the woman at the well. "You're sins are forgiven, GO AND SIN NO MORE!!!"

So if they are repentant, are they still GAY?

I do not believe that a truly repentant homosexual is still homosexual. If he or she is truly repentant, they will want to lead a lifestyle that is pleasing to God according to His will, and that is heterosexuality.

I do not buy into the ultra-liberal mumbo-jumbo that says homosexuals cannot be cured from their affliction. If they want to bad enough, they can. It has been done countless times.

About 20 years ago I worked with a man who was found to be taking part in openly public gay acts. There were a number of local citizens caught in a city park in broad daylight. What is worse is they were coaxing young teen age boys to join them in the fun. Of couse all were arrested and prosecuted. The surpise is who all was taking part.

This man who I worked with was happily married and had children of his own. His family supported him through all the public humilation and he repented. So, I too support your belief Rev. God's works are beyond human understanding and He alone can bring about complete repentance.

Being Gay because it is genetic is one of the false ploys that they are using to justify their position. Granted some are but not to the extent they are saying. According to them everyone is somewhat gay. That's were "explore your feminine side" idea came from.

Homosexuality is not genetic at all. The proof-in-the-pudding is the study of identical twins... one gay, one normal. How could that possibly be genitic? Answer: It's not genetic.

I will concede that, as some have indicated, the sex drive can be adversely affected by a chemical/hormonal imbalance in the system. But this, as with any physical affliction, can be treated. And many have been successfully treated.

Just needed a conservative fix.

May I just scream out for a moment?

There, feel better already :) .
I know. Look at how much of this acceptance as an alternate lifestyle is being presented to our children. Society made sex before marriage seem a right of passage for all teenagers, so why not give them options to exercise it? It's truly disgusting, but that's our burden to bear being part of the world.

Me, I need to work out such stresses on the treadmill, but I'm sure some of you might want to meditate while sitting here. Would that help?

You are right Porter, it is our burden to bear...but we have Christ to lift us up. Sometimes I forget that it's His Strength I must rely on!

Hey...who wants to hear some more about my shoulder??? :sorry:
I found out today from the rheumatologist, that I now have bursitis in it. The MRI ruled out a tear. I'm going back to work part time tomorrow, but I'm still in lots of pain, so I don't know how that will go.
We are going to try ultra sound on it, and more phys therapy.

We'll see what happens! :)

The whole child raising thing is a total lack of dicipline and morals on our part. :sigh:

With all the garbage we get on TV and at every turn of life we are conastantly faced with temptations. Mom's and Dad's are busy and don't spend as much time with their off spring as they should. They forget that teaching them good values is more important then buying them the latest fashions or plazma TV.

I highly applaud the parents who unselfishly teach their kids and make sacrifices to give these things to them. I know that its even harder for single parents. Praise God for your love and devotion.

Its really scary what things will be like in another few decades.

But even more importantly is where is the church life and bible study? Where is the need to take them to church and not just send them on a bus or let the neighbor take them. Kids learn from watching, and its us who they watch.

I hope you do well. Good news that you don't have a tear, I kind of thought that might have one.

My Doc told me to use ice. It does help, but not a cure. Keep up the good work SeaJoy. You'll be a new Gal before long. :)

My memory is notoriously unreliable. Still, I'm going to take a chance here. There was a resercher at, I think, Johns Hopkins (sp) University who did the study you have mentioned, Revrand. He set out to prove that Homosexual men were different from other men. The intention was to prove that Homosexuality was a condition that exsisted from birth. Well, he did so. The problem was that during the study, he found that the condition could be reversed permanantly!! He found that Homosexuality was caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain that was easily corrected. This Homosexual resercher actually proved what he had been told for years; that he was abnormal and needed to be treated for that abnormality. I was actually given copies of this paper some years ago and have long since disposed of them. Why is it I have all this cra... um... junk around and tossed a good item of source material. Oi, vay!:sigh: Truely proof of the packrat's credo; 'Don't throw it out! You will need it some day.'

On a lighter note; I went to the only full-sized grocery store in Trinity county yesterday, Tops in Weaverville. They usually have a dismal array of real tea and this huge selection of herbals. Well surprise Surprise! They had my favourite (Oh, Boy, Oh boy, Oh boy...)! Raspberry Royale by Bieglows. They even had a economy sized box of Constant Comment. Don't like that as often, but it's better than most. I really don't like shopping at that store. It's too expensive and a Yuppie store. Everything fancy and exhorbently expensive. Gosh I miss Stater Brother's market.

Anyone for a cuppa? I'll be mother!;)

I like tea. I normally drink about 8-10 cups a day. I had to give up coffee a little over a year ago, so I switched to tea. I usually just drink the cheap stuff but have found differences even in that. I always put honey in it and as soon as I can remember I want to get some cinnamin to add.

As for the study on homesexuals, interesting, but I don't buy it, as it is saying that God is the fall guy and we know thats not correct.

Jim this is why I indulge in Cinnamon and Turmeric.

The Spices of Life
Turmeric A traditional Indian spice, has shown great promise as an anti-carcinogen (non-cancer causing), specifically protecting from oral, colon and breast cancer. In India it's long been used for digestive disorders and inflammatory conditions. But now it's thought that the low incidence of neurological disease in India may be attributed to this pungent, golden spice. Turmeric inhibits the passage of a type of sticky white blood cell called a macrophage into the brain from the blood. Moreover it blocks a protein called MMP-9 and the molecule, TNF, both responsible for the destruction of the myelin sheath (protective nerve coating) as occurs in Multiple Sclerosis. A five year study recently reported in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that folic acid and B12 do not protect against cognitive decline as long hoped (low levels appear to be a consequence not a cause) the findings on turmeric are important to anyone looking to ward off dementia.
Sprinkle the aromatic spice on fish, soups and meats or blend with melted butter and drizzle over cooked vegetables, pasta or potatoes along with some pepper. Piperine, a component of black pepper, increases the bio-availability of the beneficial compound found in Turmeric. For those who find turmeric too bitter, it can be purchased in capsule form, but should be avoided by anyone suffering from jaundice or gallstones.
Cinnamon Chinese medicine has long touted cinnamon as a treatment for impotency and infertility, says licensed acupuncturist and herbalist Kristen Burris. Like turmeric, cinnamon has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties, but unlike turmeric, cinnamon is also being studied in the prevention of diabetes. Six months ago a study done in Maryland by the FDA discovered by accident that cinnamon prevents blood sugar levels from spiking when test subjects who'd consumed apple pie laced with cinnamon had much lower glucose levels than expected. And unlike Nutmeg, which also has anti-inflammatory properties but can affect the nervous system in large amounts, causing hallucinations, cinnamon may be consumed without caveat.

Tea is on my list of things to avoid now. I have an allergy to nickel. Even my eyeglasses have to be nickel free!! Well, I found a list of foods that are high in nickel and you know what? Those are the same foods I've slowly been eliminating from my diet over the past few years because I've discovered they bother me badly! Weird. Chocolate (WAH!), nuts, raisins, beans, oats, tea....and more...these are foods that are high in nickel. I can't eliminate all nickel from my diet as even water contains nickel.

Jim, why did you have to stop drinking coffee? Did it bother your stomach or something? There is a new folgers that is gentle on the stomach :)
