I wonder if that was what hit around here a couple months ago. Several people here (including myself) had flu symptoms that lasted for weeks.
Sure sounds like the same thing.

I got a nice surprise a bit ago- DH sent me flowers for our anniversary! :)

The doc said he had it himself, for 4 WEEKS! He was so disgusted and miserable he spent one weekend drunk. Must be bad for a Dr. to say that. So far I'm ok, but am keeping up with the Vitamin C!
(bolding mine)

I get frequent URIs and sometimes they're so bad that the only way to get through them is to be drunk. Mainly, for me, because I can't have OTC cough meds anymore so the bourbon (or scotch, or Kentucky sipping whiskey) acts as a cough reliever. Has the added benefit of making me not care that I'm sick.

;)

It's the only time I ever drink. Except for 2oz of red wine a day to help my cholesterol stay down.

I don't know what an URI is, I'm acronym broken ;)

I used to use whiskey to help with coughs and sore throats, as they have been a huge problem for me my whole life, now I mix a few shots of brandy in a glass of Vernor's gingerale and drink it right before bed time. It works so good for me that I only got sick once this last year. I also take a Benedryl alergy to help with the drainage. I just hope they let me have this when I go to the old folks home. ^_^

...and add brandy, rum and Canadian whiskey!

It all tastes a heck of a lot better than "Buckley's"

Can you come over and do my bathroom? Free tour of London is included.

I need my bathroom done too.

When you finish with Till's place in London, head north, to Herts. We have a near-gutted place with 3 baths and a kitchen needing new tile, as well. There are no goats to bother you....promise. ;)

You ladies TEMPT me! Especially a trip to Jolly 'Ol! Last I went was a busman's holiday too. Then again, I didn't get much time to see anything but dirty harness, carriages, horse trailer, and truck. Well, and M1... Oh... joy.:sput: Trafalgar(sp?) Square was... terrifying.:waaah:

Porter, sounds like fun, actually. Problem is, getting my tools over there and finding out where to get the materials. But, as they say... where there's a will, there's a way!;) Now, (LOL):pwhat would the new hubby think of a tradesman living on the property in a caravan (travel trailer)?:ahah: Besides, they wouldn't let me take Nana.

I am not a lady. I know my name is strange and unfamiliar but it is male.

You can use my tools and whatever else you need can be bought at B&Q. I can also lend you a tent if you want to live in Porter's garden :D:D

And not uncommon here. One of our neighbors here down south drives a Till Construction (or something like that) van. :)

I heart B&Q and Wickes, but there can be no tent nor caravan squatting on the estate...sorry, Stude. There are a few full time residents there who would go crazy sending us e-mails!!!

The house is habitable and fairly clean; however, there are only two horses in the paddock right now if you're determined to sleep out of doors. ^_^

I don't EVER want to renovate another house, especially one that was inherited and had been flooded from internal plumbing leaks. I'm counting the days until we can pull out the offending header tank, but it could be a year or more before we can do that. :argh:
