Ahhh...so that's why your character is ready for the beach!! I was going to PM you and ask, but I'm always so nosy ;)

I have arrived safe and sound. It's cool tonight but a bit humid, which makes it good to me. The 70 degrees is a bit warmer than the 28 degrees I left this morning. :p

I hadn't named them yet, forgot to ask the lady that I got them from if they named them.

How about Tweedledee and Tweedledum? ^_^

I love Seajoy's answer as to which is which! :p

Rev, glad you made it there safely...blow that warm air up north, will ya?

If they are male and female be careful. They have LOTS of babies. And the babies somehow get through the wire and out of the cage.
Some friends of the family got two dwarf hampsters from their grandma as a present once. The store told them they were both male, but as it turns out..no.

They ended up with dozens of hampsters they had to get rid of; we even ended up with one; and that thing lived a LONG time! Four years if I remember correctly; and it escaped it's cage for weeks on end sometimes too. You just began to think it's dead under a chair somewhere and bam you find it running around the basement..ahh..I miss that hampster..:( I want to buy another one but yeah the parents won't go for that.

Anyways the moral of the story is separate cages is a good policy for animals where gender is a hard thing to discern! :p

Good news indeed. Those stupid ole cell phones, you can't live with them and you can't live without them ^_^

I live on mine all day long

Well, when it comes to Cell phones, one has to live without them in Trinity County. We haven't any reception outside of the centre of town. The price of living in the sticks.;)

As to the hamsters, I think the average life span is only around a year or two. So four years is phenominal. I'll stick to Dogs though, thanks.

You know, it's really funny how God works sometimes. I won't give out the details yet (don't want to queer the deal). It seems sometimes that the Lord has solutions to our prayers before we even utter them. God is good.

I have a hard time picking up a reception where I live, if I do get one I better not even breathe

If anybody would be watching me with my cell at my cabin they would think that I look like those old sonar antennas. I stand outside on the porch and rotate around in circles sometimes to get reception.

Even with two of the same gender, you might want to separate them. Hamsters like to live solitary lives, and might fight if you keep them together. They usually live up to about 3 years, so yes, 4 years was a long time for that hamster!

I know all this because we have (and have had) a lot of hamsters. We have researched a ton on the internet...after our first hamster had babies... And we have a couple hamster books. We did give away two hamsters (both male) to my husband's sister, and she kept them in the same cage. They were from the same litter, so we thought everything would be ok. Unfortunately the "group scent" got rubbed off the first time the kids handled them, so the started fighting with each other almost immediately. They ended up killing each other not long after.

They are gerbils, read up on them, everything I read says its better to have 2 or more because they don't like to be alone, also its alright to have 2 males together, says the females are more aggressive. These 2 from what the lady said have been together all the time. They haven't fought yet.

Hi everyone! Kettle's singing and the pot's warming. I thought some nice Plantation Mint for this morning. Someone else will have to pour out though. I've got to get to work. Oh, yes, a plate of thumb-print biscuits with raspberry jam.

Say a prayer that our employer doesn't freak. He's got a sizable bill due today and larger next week.

I hope you all have a great day.:D :D

It's like 4 degrees today! Brrrr.....
It was -10 at 8am. I don't know where we are at right now.

It will sure be cold for the Packers/Giants game tomorrow. -35 wind chill. My neighbors have tickets and are going! brrrr
But Packers fans have very warm hearts...so I'm sure they will be cozy all sitting tightly together. :groupray: :)
300 fans cleaned all the snow off of the seats at the stadium. I'm holding a shovel in their honor. ^_^

That's ok. My son called this morning and asked if the kids could spend they night, they are going out for their anniversary and I told my oldest granddaughter about them, she got all excited. They hadn't got here yet but I bet she's been bugging them all day on when they are coming.

Sure is cold here too, supposed to get down in the teens tonight.

Sounds really nice down there, Rev. It got up to a sizzling 51 here today. Funny though, when the sun went behind the hill the temp immediately dropped ten degrees. By the time George and I got home there was ice forming on the roads and the car's R/V mirror. At least we're not as cold as Minnesota and Wisconsin though. Saw the weather report... Brrrr!

Well, looks like the job didn't pan out like I'd hoped. The customer told me today that he'd have to cut me back to two days a week. That's a loss of three hundred dollars a week. Well, I'll just have to go out and get another customer, right?

Calling all prayer warriors...:groupray:

What I didn't want to queer by talking about it was this job. Looks like my superstitions, as silly as they are, may have worked against me again. When will I learn. George is really disapointed and more than a little depressed. I'm wondering how the Lord is working this. Everything seemed to be working out and then... thud! We have enough to pay our friend back the money she loaned us and won't be able to pay the house payment we had thought we could. See, George is on the verge of forclosure. Like, one payment away. We borrowed the money to stave off forclosure and promised another payment on Wed. of this comming week, thinking that the work would provide it. The money is there, but we have to pay the money back to our other friend before the 6th. So, I'm wondering what we're going to do at this point. George is working part time for CalTrans as a flagger, but only works when it snows. It hasn't snowed for two weeks. Therefore no work for George.

Sigh, at this point... I think we'll hold onto the money and pray for a few days. Maybe something will out.:prayer:
