While I feel bad for youhug:light hug so as not to sting)... I don't wanna hear it!!
I guess the fact that lots of Yankees and Canucks were also taking in the sun of the Chisos Mountains won't surprise you, then.
Well..goodbye everyone!!
I'll be gone till late Palm Sunday at a regional bandfest outside of Detroit, MI.
I may have internet access..but I'm gonna go ahead and assume not. If I do, TCL probably won't be the first place I go..(But you never know..)
I'm nervous about all the papers and tests I have due/to take during Holy Week, as that's also the last week of the Quarter before Spring/Easter break..
Well..see you guys soon!!

LOL tell that to my LUTHERAN high school..Be careful, BA. Tests during Holy Week? Sacrilege!!!!
Your Spring Break is late, but I guess that makes sense given the different climate. Behave!
Bragger!

Not so sure I even like you anymore. We had in the 70's all day today with sunshine in "MissourA".
Winter is great: No bugs, definitely no ticks, no sweating, no headache from the heat and so on.Yeah, let's see, did you say you were from somewhere in the northern part of the world? We've had waaaay more winter than we are used to- even for Iowa!In fact- I wouldn't mind a brown Christmas this year!

But summer is great too. I just don't like any of the things I mentioned above. I do, however, like BBQ and other summery things.
I guess all 4 seasons have their charm, and I am blessed to always have lived in places where we had all four of them.
Have a good time, and good luck on your tests!Well..goodbye everyone!!

I'll be leaving for 4 days, starting friday morning. It's my grandma's 90th birthday this weekend. Hubby is gone working, so I'll be making the 7 hour trip alone. None of my family is Lutheran anymore, except my grandma, who is ELS. She likes me a lot, little WELS gal that I am.
Anyway, I'll miss you guys. I'm not heading to warmer temps.....so no reason to be jealous there.
I feel a little strange asking this...but...Oscar is one of God's creatures too so...(and I'm going to ask that there be no inappropriate...or even if you think it might be appropriate...dead cat jokes or I hate cats comments. Please.)
My boy cat, Oscar is getting ready to turn 13 a couple of days after Easter. Late last week I noticed that he just wasn't himself. Knowing that he's getting older, I took him to the vet for a check up. Vet said there's something wrong but his symptoms are so slight (and he's so cranky) that they'd need blood tests to make sure. The three contenders for older cats are Thyroid disease (treatable and curable) Diabetes (treatable) and Kidney disease (neither treatable nor curable but palative care can be done to help extend life and keep him comfortable)
Vet just called with the test results of his blood work. He has chronic kidney disease which means it's been going on for a while and he could either continue like this for years OR he could go downhill VERY fast no matter what we do for him.
This is my baby. I've had him since before he was born. (his mommy cat lives at my parent's place) I watched him be born, I've done everything in my power to keep him healthy and happy (and rather spoiled.)
So...if you could please...pray that God gives him more years to be with his human Mommy? I can't take losing him right now.
Thanks everyone,
Kae
