Oh Lambie, I wish I could. That would be so much fun.

My niece emailed today some of the plans she has made. It is going to be great. She wanted to know if we wanted to see the tallest building in the world. Well, yeah.

latebloomer,
I have got to get to town and soon. Every time I try to, it snows and our road gets bad. Got to get there Friday and then again on Sat. evening.

Maybe when I get back from my vacation, it will be much nicer here.

Quiltie, it's supposed to be mid 30s tomorrow!!!! I hope at least the roads get better. My in-laws left on a trip to visit my brother-in-law today, and they've been wondering if they'd have any trouble getting to the airport. They're farther south and have more snow than we do. Odd how that happened this year. Usually we're the part of the state that gets dumped on. I'll know spring is getting closer when my "pet" concrete raccoon reappears. Rocky's under that snowdrift somewhere.

Studeclunker, my crocuses almost always start blooming March 28, give or take a day or two. Right now, they have 2 feet of snow on them. I have started watching for robins and grackles. The grackles come back a week or two before the robins.

We'll get Robins in a couple of weeks. George want's to know, what's a Grackle?

This has been the mildest winter in a very long time...
Crocuses came up about a week ago and my other bulbs on my front porch have started coming up. Tulips and daffodils.
I don't think the robins ever left and I think this weekend I will clean and fill the hummingbird feeders...

Webcam, but I was late for dinner.

A Grackle is a very ugly and annoying black bird.

Around these parts, we call em starlings. Add dirty to that description also- they poo everywhere! Actually, their feathers are kinda pretty- they have a very dark blue and purple sheen to them. But that doesn't make me like them any better.

I saw 2 robins here a couple weeks ago- one of those below zero nasty days, all fluffed up sitting on a crabapple tree. I don't know if they came back too early, or were partying when everybody left last fall and they missed the boat! In any case, they looked VERY out of place, sitting there in the cold with snow all around. I felt sorry for them.

We see the sun today! Wonder how long it is going to last.

It is actually above 32 degrees also! Wow, time to get out the shorts, it is hot out.
Good, then you can help me mow. We've already hit 90!

I think the sun is supposed to last for at least a few hundred million more years. ^_^

I hope it will be sunny and sweaty 100 degreesish in MN this weekend cuz I am going there!!!
Bring your mittens! Seriously, there's no telling what the weather in MN will do this time of year. I remember I was there in May and it snowed. But in a place that has winter 9 months out of the year and more lakes than any place on earth should ever have, you just never know what to expect.

Edited to add:

That's a link to the forecast for St. Paul, MN for this weekend.
