One thing I like about giving reps, is that it's a chance to give a "gift" to someone here on the forum. Most of the people here, we will never see this side of Heaven, it's just a nice way to display friendship. Of course, I have very much appreciated these "gifts" from others here. Kind of a cyber-hug I guess. :)

You must have given most of yours away. You should have at least 3 MIL by now. When "things" aren't pushing you down you have one of the most sunniest dispositions here.

When I first came to CF, I thought the Reps really meant something. It took FOREVER to get to my first 1000 reps before mine would add any points when I rep'd back. Now, newbies get rep'd swamped within the first hour and probably receive about 10,000 within the first day.

So, reps no longer mean that a person has a reputable voice on this board. To some it has just become a game and others a basic communication device to show that you like someone's post or someone appreciated yours. Numbers mean absolutely nothing.
True. The numbers mean very little, however, the relationships I have fostered playing the rep games have been surprisingly uplifting and very much a blessing. I've learned a great deal about posters I had formed contrary opinions of and it continues to be beneficial.

Many relationships are formed in these games that would have been inlikely in other, more divisive fora. It's touching to watch and I think those who belittle it are being close-minded and missing some great fellowship opportunties.

I'm trying to go for my first star now. Why? I dunno. It seems like a little bit of fun to do when I'm frustrated by reports and whatnot. Plus, I really do enjoy reading the little things that even in the Reps Games that people write! I need to come up with more clever things myself to write back when I rep people in those games...besides Reps Game. LOL How original, eh?

I have not given reps... haven't ever looked at it, and not sure I even know how, or what it means.

"You have to be old" (or something like that).^_^

So, if I haven't repped anyone, don't take it personally , I haven't done it to anyone. I just think there are many nice people here, and I appreciate all of you. I just don't do it with the rep thingie. :D

I firegt to give them myself, but am getting more used to it. The points mean nothing, but like Porter said the comments that people make are neat. I have gone on other boards and recieved nice comments from those who I would have thought hated me  , it just goes to show that you can't always judge a book by its cover. I've also made some friends by the reps thingy. Another hobbie of mine is to feed pets. I remember when I had my doggie I would get all kinds of people feeding her. Its just another way of showing friendship.

THanks for feeding my pet. He enjoyed the chicken. :D

And thanks to the other folks who gave a few blessings, too. When I made my comment, I wasn:D 't directly asking for the... but they are definitely appreciated.

One of my best buddys died. Dummy wouldn't take care of himself after he got his leg cut off from diabetes. He was Christian and a brilliant man. He could play concert piano and trumpet and couldn't read a note. After he got out of the Marines in the 60's him and I both worked at a music house huckstering pianos off the back of a truck in a 4 state area. We were both wild back then. He was an avid historian, amateur philosopher and an atheist back then. I got to witness to him many times and tried an show him the way to Christ. He ignored me for years but the seed was planted. Years later he called me and said he joined a church and died a Christian and a Lutheran.

Bye Bro----I'm gonna miss ya-----Go with God.:cry:

I'm sorry about your friend Rad. You have my condolences. That's awesome that he came to Christ before passing away.
