Wow! Kool! A whole 27 years old

Happy Birthday Hope

I Hope you had a greatttttt day :)
Thank you for wishing me a happy birthday...unfortunately I didn't have the greatest day.

I just happened to come down with something, on my birthday, and have been dealing with an upset tummy all day...

Ugh! I hate being sick! I can't wait until my stomach stops hurting, and I can finally keep things down again!

Hope you all had a better day than me!

SO everyone on here is a supermod? Too many chiefs and not enough injuns?

Apparently, because of the coding, they can only have a certain amount of different types of positions. So, as PW said, newbies have the Red Ms until they finish training, have passed tests and are off probation. Then, they are moved to Supermod to show their status as being done with all that.

Jim will co-manage TCL with me but there is no coding for manager, so we just put up a banner in our signature to show the identity.

Whoopty-doo. I don't really get the whole "Rep" thing. It just seems like a popularity contest. Those with more reputation points are more important or something? It just doesn't seem to fit with a Christian community.
I think it fits in with the Christian community just dandy. Are we not commanded in scripture to judge those within the church body? 1 Corinthians 5:12-13. That's sort of what's going on with the rep system. It's totaly based upon judgment of other people's comments. It's not that a person with more rep points is more important than someone with less rep points. It just means that a person with more points writes better posts or posts people like or agree with mroe, than someone with not as many rep points. Everytime a Christian here throws "do not judge, lest ye be judged" at me, I refer them to this site's own reputation system that is based totally upon judgment of others.

Does that mean that my input is less important than someone elses because I don't have as many rep points as someone else? Based upon what? Based upon how many reps I give out?
But it's not based upon judgement of others. There are threads on this forum that are for the sole purpose of receiving Rep points. How is that judging? Their primary purpose is for people to get a higher rep total. Seems pretty vain to me. It's just a game.

I look at reps as a thank you...

Thanks for making me laugh... thanks for teaching me something I didn't know... thanks for being kind... thanks for agreeing with me, etc.

I don't think of it as judging and I don't think of it as popularity. I may not like someone, but if they post something useful to me, I'll Rep them.

And that's what they should be for. But most people don't use them that way. It's all about "how many reps can I get".
