My condolences on the passing of your good friend!

One of my best buddys died. Dummy wouldn't take care of himself after he got his leg cut off from diabetes. He was Christian and a brilliant man. He could play concert piano and trumpet and couldn't read a note. After he got out of the Marines in the 60's him and I both worked at a music house huckstering pianos off the back of a truck in a 4 state area. We were both wild back then. He was an avid historian, amateur philosopher and an atheist back then. I got to witness to him many times and tried an show him the way to Christ. He ignored me for years but the seed was planted. Years later he called me and said he joined a church and died a Christian and a Lutheran.

How true...especially when you have fibro! The pain is the same with either type of storm.

snow would make my day -- the school district i am in has FIVE built in days that we could have snow days and not go any longer at the end of the year (of course, if we don't use them, we don't get them off, either)

Most of the school systems did let the kids out early yesterday in case it did get bad. It didn't get real bad, lots of wind and rained hard some with some thunder and lightning.

SOMEBODY'S RAISING THEIR KID RIGHT!

One Nation, 'Under God.'

One day a 6 year old girl was sitting in a​

classroom. The teacher was going to explain​

evolution to the children. The teacher asked​

a little boy: Tommy do you see the tree​

outside?​

TOMMY: Yes.​

TEACHER: Tommy, do you see the grass​

outside?​

TOMMY: Yes.​

TEACHER: Go outside and look up and see​

if you can see the sky.​

TOMMY: Okay (He returned a few minutes​

later) Yes, I saw the sky.​

TEACHER: Did you see God up there?​

TOMMY: No.​

TEACHER: That's my point We can't see​

God because he isn't there. Possibly he just​

doesn't exist.

A little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the​

boy some questions.​

The teacher agreed and the little girl asked​

the boy: Tommy, do you see the tree​

outside?​

TOMMY: Yes.​

LITTLE GIRL: Tommy do you see the grass​

outside?​

TOMMY: Yessssss!​

LITTLE GIRL: Did you see the sky?​

TOMMY: Yessssss!​

teacher?​

TOMMY: Yes​

LITTLE GIRL: Do you see her brain?​

TOMMY: No​

LITTLE GIRL: Then according to what we​

were taught today in school, she possibly may not even have one!​

Had a Packer party at our house today....and belated birthday party for my hubby. It was a good day----Packers won and everyone liked my home made yellow cake with choc frosting.

Hubby leaves tomorrow on a business trip until friday. I'll probably hang out with you guys quite a bit. I'm lonesome when he's gone.
