Even worse are the names on the list that one of the elders wasn't even familiar with. Doesn't the synod have guidelines about these things?![]()
How membership rolls are kept is basically up to the policy of the congregation. Individual members should be responsible for making sure their membership information is accurate and correct. This is something that I've battled here for a while, making sure that members addresses and phone numbers, etc. are accurate and up to date. I would suggest that you hound the elders until the matter is resolved.
