In 15 minutes (EDT) it will be my 37th Baptismal Birthday!!!

I really have nothing further to add other than, Seajoy, thanks for the pie! *G* The Guy 'n I went out for dinner tonight and right there, staring me in the face, was a big ol' piece of pecan pie!

I abstained though. *G*

We're celebrating life today. One year anniversary of the day little Tiger was diagnosed with leukemia. He's a happy camper. Our neighbor promised to teach him to play baseball next week after we get home from Tiger's doctor appointment.

It always warms my heart when I hear of little ones recovering from things like this. Thanks and prayers of praise to Our Lord. :prayer:

Happy to celebrate life with you today! We will keep praying for Tiger. :)

My husband and I got a chance to meet someone last evening. He came to our home to sell us stuff in our remodling project. We both liked him, so we made our purchase from him. After that was finished, we got to talking.....this man is 39yrs old, and has had cancer 3 times in 7yrs. He told us the first time he had it he cursed God and refused to go to church anymore. He wouldn't speak to anyone. Now, he says he is back in church, trusting God to take care of things for he and his family. When we said we would pray for him, he took both our hands in his....he was so grateful. You could see the miracle of faith God has worked in him right in his eyes. What a blessing to know he was a brother in Christ.
I just felt like sharing...you guys here understand what I'm saying.

We all give thanks and praise to our Lord and God for the joys that you share. And we continue to pray that His comforting presence be with you, and that He may strengthen Tiger both physically and spiritually, and yourselves as well. May His healing hand continue to be upon him and bless him.
In Jesus' precious Name, Amen. :crossrc:

Thanks be to God that Tiger is doing so well. May this checkup be routine.

Mind if I jump in with what I wanted to be when I grew up?
I wanted to join the Navy, like my uncle, or I wanted to be a singer, but I got married at 18 instead, to the boy I started dating when I was 15  .
26 1/2 years later...here we are, still walking through life together :) . Our babies are now 24 & 22.

I was accepted into nursing school about 17 years ago, but could not attend because of depression/anxiety problems. All my friends graduated from college. I've always felt kind of bad that I didn't.

Please don't say...but you still could. No I can't, it wasn't meant to be. But that's ok, God had other plans for me :) .

I completely understand. I alos never went to college and still regret it (I've probably mentioned this before as it really bothers me )

But I also have to think that life is more then us realizing our dreams of education and employment. I don't regte my life as its been pretty good. I have been given gifts that lost of folks could only dream of having, so how can that measure up to failure? And, I have a whole brand new life to look forward to

My back hurts.

About once every year or so, something happens with my low back and I'll be in excruciating pain for days. Last Summer, I actually missed work because of it. This one has been going on a couple weeks - not enough to want to miss work, but enough to be really annoying.

It's my own fault. I'm not in the best of shape, so the muscles there are weak. I am exercising more, but apparently not enough. I am going to a chiropractor, which is helping.

On top of it all, we have new law clerks coming in next week and there's not enough room, so yesterday, we had to clean out our war room to make room for the new clerks, which meant many heavy boxes being moved. Not a lot of men around, and dollys and carts can only do so much. Thankfully, the back doesn't feel worse than before. I have to do some lifting today, but not as much as yesterday.

I'm going to have company coming over tomorrow and the house still needs to be cleaned up. I'm scared I'll be in too much pain. I am seeing the chiropractor tonight after work. Hope it doesn't hurt worse afterwards like it did Wednesday.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Ok to vent about pain, Flipper! If it wasn't, I'd sure have been kicked out of here long ago!
Praying for you.
