Well the church I belong to averages anywhere from 350 to 400 a week and the population of this town is 55,000 to 56,000. They have 3 services sunday morning, 2 traditional and one contemporary. The traditional service is pretty much traditional even though they don't have the newest hymnals. The one I transfered from, was betweem 50 to 75 a week, now i'm not sure if they have that many. I had trouble getting used to their services, well stuff like drinking coffee or soda during the service, getting up and walking out during the service and coming back. (Adults did this too) Talking during church. My parents church is pretty much tradional too. They average around 250 a week, back in the 70's it was more like 450 a week. The town has a population of around 25,000, I'm guessing, its a German town, there's an ELCA church too There's another one I've been to when we've been down at the lake small church pretty much traditional too. The ones in Huntsville, I'm not sure about, hadn't been to them.

Yeah, that meatloaf combo does smell great. I do hope it was 2 hamburger to 1 sausage. Otherwise, you'll get a spicy result! Don't forget the catsup! With the sausage, I find BBQ sauce is just a bit much. If you really want a taste treat, try putting chopped onions and bell pepper in it next time. I like using several colours of the bell pepper if they're available. Kinda makes it a bit festive.

Well, come to think of it, since it's likely midnight back there... maybe next time? How did it come out anyway?

Aibrean, congrats on the replacement truck. Hope it works out for you and the Hubby.

:) We didn't pay what the price on it says (thanks to hail damage it had on the lot).

It wasn't quite 2 to 1, but close. I did add a lot of onions, and the ketchup. It was very tasty....we had it with broccoli and cauliflower.

I have a trick knee - it's tricked me into sitting around for 2 days because it hurts so bad. I think I stood too long at Mom and Dad's anniversary party on saturday. It was a lovely day. The party was outside.

Gosh Aibrean, now I kinda wish we had hail like that around here.;) Great find. I can see why the hubby is so happy.:)

I know where you're coming from, Sis. If I over do it, my left knee will swell up quite a bit. Looks really nasty and wiggly for a day or so. Now that I'm off that hill on the other side of town, it isn't so hard on the thing. Thus, I only get laid up for a day or so instead of a week.;)

Glad to hear the meat-loaf turned out well. It's a very forgiving dish, isn't it? One of my favourites. Freezes well too.

I've been having fun telling horse stories at the Horse Forum the last few days. I love stories.

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Quite a step up from the 1995 truck we had that was becoming a money pit. He's going to have to read the manual because he's not used to all the technology in it.

We weren't like kids now. My starter was a 66 Corvair (which I still have) and he has a 76 Cutlass.

Wow you really got some hand-me downs...

My parents gave me an '86 Cutlass when I started driving, later when I was in college and they moved on to a different car they gave me their '90 Lebaron. About 5 or 6 years ago I bought a '99 Sable which I have now.

How do you keep those things working? Back when I got my '99 Sable I only went and got it because my dad and I where doing $100 repairs to the Lebaron every weekend because every week some part or another would fail and we would have to fix it.

Are we supposed to allow guests to run roughshod over us now?
one guy started off as merely annoyingly pious, but seems to have graduated into one-line put downs.
