what do you guys make of the Bin Laden killing? I think it is obviously a good thing that he was finally stopped. I just hope security doesn't get relaxed now because I'm sure theres other maniacs out there plotting.

I'm happy to see that justice was carried out.

But I'm wondering how our Frienemies in Pakistan missed out on this one. I've heard that the Mansion was only about 100 yards from a Pakistani Military Academy.

How does Bin Laden hide in plain sight for so long? Did he put up a sign on his compound that said "Not the secret hideout/evil lair of Osama Bin Laden." to fool them?

there's some unanswered questions in my head about this whole bin Laden thing. DNA results overnight? Body given a sea burial in accordance with Muslim tradition?

I believe he's dead, but I don't think I believe that he was killed in some shootout. I think he was already dead and we found him and we're capitalizing on it.

And I could very well be wrong, and I'd be okay with that. I'm not a hardcore (or even softcore) conspiracy theorist by any measure.

This is true. But, I am rejoicing that justice has been served. It is unfortunate that the man it was served on was an unbeliever.

But its hard not to be feel good about it to some degree, because this man was involved in the murder of thousands of people. ya know what i mean?

I don't know that DNA tests are necessary. From what I'm reading, Al Queda has confirmed it. They would be the first ones to deny it if there was any chance it didn't happen.

I think as Christians we are allowed to celibrate it in the terms that temporal justice was done. But you would be right in that we should not celibrate it as some sort of personal vengence.

So as far as I can tell, God considers temporal justice to be important too, and to those ends, when temporal justice is done we can celibrate that.

However I don't think we can really celibrate his eternal punishment either.

There's been results, since the new stories are saying that DNA evidence proves it. The photo of bin Laden was released, but I don't think it's been released here in the states. Americans are rather sensitive to that kind of stuff I guess.

What a month, last 3 weeks anyway, my sister in law passed away, then a week ago saturday a brother in law passed away, last monday my mother in law passed away. Not this pass wednesday but the wednesday before we had some storm damage then this past wednesday we had tornado's all over the state. We were making funeral arrangements for my mother in law this past wednesday in Cullman Alabama, the tornado hit while we there. I got to lift everything up to the Lord.

As to Osama bin Ladin, why not celebrate the death one of the Devil's chief servants? I think it was stupid how they got rid of the body the way they did. Muslim traditions be da**ed! This man was a monster and not deserving of such respect. He had the blood of thousands of innocent lives on his hands. Strikes me that even a sewer was too good for him (might offend the other rats)!

On a brighter note, there have been several kind people who have been sending me stills captured from the footage of the procession leaving Westminister Cathedral. The only part of the Royal Wedding I'm interested in is the horses, LOL! The State Landau is always impressive. It would have been nice to see the other two, but one has to be satisfied with whatever one can get up here in the sticks... Really the only time in the past five years or so that I really wanted to see something on T.V., LOL!

Oh, I almost forgot: I made pea soup this afternoon for the first time in several decades! My mother helped me out the last time. Happily, her simple recipie still works well with left-over Easter ham. the down side (if one wants to call it that) is that I now have two gallons of pea soup! Hopefully it will freeze well!

BTW Luther, love the picture! Reminds me of a certain comedy villian's hideout.
